"He's obviously jealous of me. I mean, rightfully so," Lacey says, putting a brown candle jar to her nose.

Corey took up his ex-girlfriend's offer of going to Bath & Body Work's, mostly because he needed away from his boyfriend.

Plus it was easy to talk to her about this stuff, he thought. They used to do it all the time.

Corey sighs, facing away from the girl.

"No, he...just doesn't want me hanging out with an ex. It makes sense." The boy's eyes browse the countless floral candles.

He decided to withhold the part about Sapnap calling her manipulative and all that. Seemed like the right approach.

"You're gay now, clearly, so it's not like anything would happen," she sets the candle down and turns to look at Corey, "Right?"

One of her brows perks up as Corey looks at her from across the candle stand.

"I-I mean the part where I'm gay or nothing happening?" Corey asks, Lacey walks over next to him.

"Hm...I guess both."

"I wouldn't say now I'm 'gay,' I've always been, I guess," Corey responds, "Plus I thought I've told you I'm not labeling myself." He mumbles out.

The girl sighs loudly, "Corey. You're with a guy. And we didn't work out, so it's okay to say that I helped you realize you were gay."

As Lacey looks away, he wants to laugh but also doesn't want her to think their relationship was fake.

She starts to walk back around to the other side of candle mountain.

"I was in love with you. Like, actually. So no, you didn't make me realize I was gay," Corey says to the back of her head, "If anything...Nick made me realize I was attracted to guys."

Lacey looks at him after that, a subtle glare on her face.

"Honest? You were in love with me?" She asks, a smile growing on her face.

Corey starts to get red, a hand coming up to rub the back of his neck. Suddenly the blueberry maple pancake scented candle looked like the most interesting thing on the stand.

"Well, yeah I was. But now I love Nick. I really love him..." He picks up the blue candle to smell.

"Yeah," Lacey mutters. Once again she turns away from him and busies herself with whatever she could grab.

Corey makes a face and pulls the god awful candle away from his face.

"Fucking hell, that's horrible," he says lowly, "Aren't you, uh, in a relationship?"

The girl rolls her eyes, turning to her left where the wallflower fragrances were.

"We're kinda off again on again. And right now we're off."

Corey moves on to look at the same wall she is, "Oh...sorry."

"Eh, whatever. He'll come crawling back soon," Lacey shrugs and puts one of the red wallflower fragrances in her small basket, before glancing up at Corey, "They always do."
