"Daisy, baby, no" I groaned as she squeezed the red icing onto her hand. "Why? It's good" she smiled and licked her hand. "Yeah I know but it's for mommy and I's anniversary cake. How long have we been together?" I asked my step daughter. "4 years?" She looked at me. "That's right! How old are you?" I continued asking her questions. "I'm 5" she was focused on something. "You are 4 About to turn 5. Stay little. You're making me look old" I looked up and seen her face and hands covered in red frosting.

I chuckled. "You just wont listen" I smiled. "Nope. My friend Jessica says that guys listen to girls" she smiles as I lift her from the stool. "Oh really? Did you tell her the president is a boy?" I carried her to the bathroom. "No" she shrugged. I grabbed a wet cloth and gently wiped the frosting off her hands and face. "Okay princess, brush your teeth. Daddy is going to get dressed for dinner. Maria's daughter will be in there to help you dress too" I rubbed her head, causing her long dark brown hair to mess up. "DADDY" she shrieked. Girls and their hair.

"Please tell me she's waiting inside" i hissed at Alisa. "Dude, calm down. She's sitting there and smiling while reading the cheesy card you left her. Get cutie and go inside" she hung up on me. I sighed.

"Ready baby girl?" I looked at Daisy. She had her hair in a side pony tail and a black glittery head band. "Yep" she unbuckled herself from her booster seat. I got out of the car and waited for her to hold my hand. "Lets go find mom" I smiled. I then took notice of what she was wearing. "God damn it. Carly" I groaned. Daisy looked cold in her black dress than only reached her knees. "Bad word!" She hit the back of my leg. I laughed. "Sorry. Lets go."

We went into the overly fancy restaurant and walked over to the reserved table, Kyler was looking in the opposite direction when I sat Daisy in the chair next to Kyler, only it was a bit higher. "Mommy!" Daisy shouted. Kyler jumped from the loud noise and smiled immediately. "Hi my little flower!" She kissed Daisys cheek.

Kylers eyes lifted to me as I sat in the chair in front of her. "Hi beautiful" I smiled. "H..hi" she smiled breathlessly. This is the second time I wore a tux in front of her, once for our wedding, six years ago. It's no surprise she's breathless, I mean, I look good in black.

"You did all of this?" she tapped on the table. It was decorated in rose petals and little quotes that meant a lot to us. I also had one single rose in the small vase in front of her, colored her favorite color; pastel purple. "All for you" I smiled. Our food was placed in front of us along with champagne and a sprite for Daisy, who strangely kept quiet the whole time. "Oh I gave her my phone to play with" Kyler read my mind and winked.

"Why one rose?" She smiled while admiring the rose. Because your cheesy husband needed the rest to plan our night. "You will see later" I smiled and began to eat. "Eat princess" I tickled Daisys side. "Fine" she giggled and gave Kyler her phone.

After an hour at the over-priced fancy restaurant, we finally decided to head home. I made a quick stop at Tony and Alisas to drop Daisy off, which was part of the plan.

After getting home, I guided Kyler into the house while holding her hand. It was almost pitch black- so it was hard to see. But I rehearsed this while Kyler spent time working on her music in the studio.

I opened the door to our room and Kylers gasp echoed through the quiet room. The candles were lit and gave off a vanilla scent- her favorite. Rose petals adorned the floor and my guitar sat in the corner. "Alex..." she began. I picked up my guitar and strummed the first chord;

"Mayday situation over-load. I'm restless, obsessed with your future. And all my worries they don't bother you. Collected, you render me useless"
