Y/N's POV:-
As I approached the grand ballroom, the lively sounds of music and laughter enveloped me, drawing me closer with each step. Despite my usual aversion to crowded places, I couldn't refuse Thor's invitation. The anticipation of seeing a thousand people gathered in one place filled me with both excitement and a hint of apprehension. It took me no more than a minute to reach the towering golden doors that marked the entrance to the ballroom.
"Lady y/n, shall we open the doors to announce your esteemed presence at the ball?" one of the guards inquired, his voice resonating with formality.
"Just a moment, I'm awaiting Thor. He mentioned meeting me here," I replied, scanning the grand hallway for any sign of the God of Thunder.
"It seems he's running behind schedule," a voice chimed in from behind me. I turned to find a tall, regal figure approaching, clad in a resplendent ensemble of green and gold.
"Perhaps his duties detain him," I replied with a smile, feeling a flutter of excitement mixed with nerves at the unexpected company.
"Which fool could forsake the pleasure of escorting such a sweet and radiant lady to the royal ball?" he mused, taking my hand and placing a gallant kiss upon it. A blush crept to my cheeks, unsure whether to attribute it to his compliment, his genteel gesture, or perhaps both.
"Thank you for your kind words, Prince," I responded, returning his smile.
"A beautiful lady deserves no less," he remarked, his gaze lingering on me with an intensity that sent a shiver down my spine.
"As does a charming prince," I retorted playfully, noting the elegance of his attire. "Green suits you remarkably well."
"Ah, thank you. Green has always been my color," he quipped, his smirk adding a mischievous twinkle to his eyes. "And your gown... it reminds me of something."
"Really? What could that be?" I inquired, intrigued by his cryptic remark.
"The Tesseract," he answered cryptically, his expression turning serious as he observed my puzzled reaction.
"The Tesseract?" I echoed, bewildered by the reference.
"Perhaps it's best left for another time," he suggested with a smirk, leaving me feeling bemused and slightly foolish.
"Now, this marks the third time you've called me beautiful tonight, Prince Loki," I remarked, attempting to divert the conversation away from my ignorance.
"As I've said before, a lady of such grace deserves nothing less," he replied smoothly, his charm undeniable as we shared a moment of laughter.
"Are you enjoying yourself, dear?" Thor's familiar voice interrupted our exchange as he approached from behind.
"Quite so, especially with your brother's incessant flattery," I teased, glancing between the two brothers who stood by my side, their contrasting personalities adding to the dynamic of the moment.
"Can you blame him? You look absolutely stunning, my dear," Thor complimented, offering his hand and gesturing for the doors to be opened.
Taking his hand, I stole a glance at Loki, who seemed momentarily captivated by my gaze before looking away. Blushing at the unexpected exchange, I followed Thor's lead as the doors swung open, revealing a scene of revelry and jubilation beyond imagination.
The ballroom dazzled with a kaleidoscope of colors, adorned with shimmering decorations and adorned with the laughter and chatter of Asgardian nobility. The air was alive with the melodies of enchanting music, beckoning guests to join in the festivities with unrestrained joy. From every corner, guests adorned in elaborate attire mingled and danced, their movements graceful and fluid, a testament to the elegance of Asgardian culture.
Thor led me into the heart of the celebration, his presence a reassuring anchor amidst the sea of faces. As we made our entrance, cheers and applause erupted from the assembled crowd, their welcoming gestures filling me with a sense of belonging and warmth.
"Here we go" i whispered to myself as we entered a room filled with excitement
