-Evren Black-

Did I have much to worry about the next day?

Yes...

I woke up this morning, Aster was still sleeping in my bed. I really didn't know how to feel about that.

So I got up, scooting away from his grasp, and out of my room.

He looked so peaceful but he's my enemy, it felt wrong on so many levels, but right on so many more.

I started making some breakfast.

Dad wasn't home still.

And it's Saturday.

After Aster leaves, I'm calling Corina over.

I started with the bacon, jumping back when some of the oil splashed at me.

I turned on my phone and put on some music, it's almost ritual for me.

"I'm still in loveeeee, with you boyyyy!" I sang quietly.

Cracking some eggs into a bowl, I moved my hips to the rhythm of the music.

I flipped the bacon, still singing the song.

I felt the presence of someone watching me, knowing that it was Aster, I turned around and saw him leaning against the door frame.

Still in his sweat top and pants, I smiled at him and went back to cooking.

"I'm making some bacon... if you want." I spoke over the music.

"Yeah. Sure." I heard him pull out a stool.

I turned around to him and saw him push a hand through his hair. He caught my stare and I blushed, looking away quickly.

"Any song suggestions?" I asked him, trying anything to not seem awkward.

"Play Alright by Kendrick Lamar." I heard the music pause and I was assuming he was speaking to Siri on my phone.

The song started playing through my phone, "You got taste." I said.

I made both me and him a plate of bacon and eggs with some toast.

Placing the plate in front of him, I walked away to get some orange juice out of the fridge.

"You want some OJ?" I asked him. I looked over and he nodded.

"This is really good Ev!" Aster chirped. "I didn't know you can cook." He looked at me.

I smiled, "Thank you. And you've only really seen me in school, maybe outside of school a few times but never in a kitchen."

"And plus, it's just bacon and eggs." I shrugged and pulled two cups from the cabinet.

I felt his hard gaze on me, "It still taste amazing. I've only known maybe about two people in my life that could actually cook." He said.

I turned around and looked at him, a bit amused.

"My mom and JJ." He mentioned his best friend.
