Gone for days without her parents knowing of her whereabouts, Y/N sighs for the tenth time that morning when her phone rings again. She gets up from her bed to check the caller ID one more time.
"Hello?" She said to the caller. Her mother sighs in relief when she finally picks up her phone calls.
"Where are you? Why have you not come back? Are you trying to give your parents a heart attack?" Y/N scratch her morning bed hair, letting her mother's words and voice process through her brain she waited.
Then it clicked that she was not at home but at her old friend's.
Y/N jolt out of bed and quickly check the time and then resettle again, "I'm fine, Mom. I'm with Jisung."
Her mother went completely silent at the sudden mention of her fiance.
Y/N clears her throat, "I know...its strange that I was complaining about it the day I ran from home and now I'm with the exact same person I want to avoid...but here me out--"
"Your father and I have something to tell you. You can take it however you like but do take your time." Y/N blinked in confusion, it was too early for her to think.
"What do you mean?"
Her mother only chuckles on the end, "I suppose if you are hesitant then I shall tell you when you come home, instead of now."
Y/N pouts, the bedroom door creaks open and Y/N whips her head to the door entrance. Jisung enters the room with a soft chuckle and carefully sets down the tray of breakfast by her bedside. The corner of her lips curve in delight as she eyed the freshly made pancakes and eggs.
Jisung place a finger on his lip indicating that he won't disturb her phone call and left the bedroom.
"Y/N? My dear? Hello---"
Y/N quickly gets back to her mother, "Oh yes, yes, I hear you. But honestly, what did you say just now?"
Her mother sighs, "I asked you was that Jisung in the room with you?" Y/N can feel a soft blush creeping up her face and she shakes her head.
"No...No---I mean yes but he only came to bring me food and then he left." Said Y/N, beginning to pick on the breakfast on her nightstand.
Her mother can only grumble to herself as Y/N distracts herself by Jisung's cooking.
"Well anyway, I'll talk to you later Mom. I might have to go help Jisung clean the house or something because he's been sheltering me in the past days." Her mother scolds her through the phone about her manners which she only hums in response while stuffing her cheeks with food.
She then hangs up on her mom.

"How're your parents?" Jisung asks her while washing their dishes. Y/N wipes the plates dry and puts them away.
"They're doing fine, I guess," Jisung nodded. Y/N then adds in nonchalantly, "They miss you."
Jisung glances over to her side and Y/N looks back at him with the same blank look. She knit her brows.
"Yes?" She asks Jisung smiles softly before looking away. He shakes his head.
"I missed them too." He said. Y/N looks away again in pure awe. Her heart thumps at a strange pace again as she tries to keep her posture straight around him.
"Oh right, how about dinner tonight out at Squid Fairy's cafe? I remember we used to go there together back in high school to buy your favorite squid and sweet octopus." Like before, Y/N feels shocked to think that Jisung can still remember her favorites. Her ears burn red as she looks away sheepishly, replying with a small "ok."
