Gojo x Reader - The Strongest

Chapter 3

"You sent them on a mission without telling me!" She yells at him, "And now Yuji is dead!"

Gojo stands in front of her remorseful. He contemplated telling her what happened. He didn't want to tell her they were going on this mission because he knew she would want to go. She needed to stay, not because he didn't think she was capable of fighting but because he wanted their students to learn. He knew she was more than capable to take on a few special grade curses but he wants the students to grow as jujutsu sorcerers and that can't happen if they know they'll be saved.

"Stop thinking!" she yells out and his mouth opens in shock as she holds her head. Her head is full of thoughts that aren't hers as she bends over.

"(y/n)," he says softly a hand on her back, "I need you to look at me," she doesn't listen, and instead the space around them changes.

She sighs, now sitting on the ground of the dark void a light simply where they are and Gojo sits down in front of her, his blindfold no longer on his eyes.

"Is that better?" she nods her head, her mind now clear. "Can you put up a barrier?" he asks her and she tilts her head in confusion before raising her hand. "I need you to listen to me," she looks into his eyes and he takes her hands in his.

"Gojo..." he looks at her and she stops.

"Yuji will come back, but I need the higher-ups to think he's dead,"

"You think they planned the last mission on purpose?" he nods his head and she bites her lip looking away, "If he doesn't come back?"

"He will (y/n),"

"Gojo," he waits for her to speak, "It's getting worse," he drops his shoulders as he sadly looks at her.

"Is that why you aren't fighting?"

"It gets so loud," she looks away tears in her eyes, "All their thoughts are mine,"

"(y/n)," he looks down before pulling her into a hug, "I'm sorry,"

"And I can't fight everyone in here,"

"Don't," he's stern as he pulls back, "I don't want that thought to ever pass your mind during a fight,"

"But,"

"Listen to me (y/n)," she looks up at him, "That will drain all of you," he's looking into her eyes to make sure she understands the risk, "It's too dangerous," she lets out a frustrated sigh as her eyes water and he frowns pulling her in.

"Did you notice?" she pulls back slightly and looks up at him.

"I did," he smiles, "Thank you," she proudly smiles before dropping the expansion, and her head drops. Gojo carries her onto the bed kissing her forehead before leaving the room.
