It won't let me put a picture up there so it'll go here and a video can go there, feel free to listen to it if you really want to, it's your choice as the reader.
Inspiration for this:

I sit there, staring blankly out the window

I sit there, staring blankly out the window. Nothing in my head, my mind clear like the  sky outside. I think about my plans for the summer, nothing, not yet anyway. My phone pings with a notification, pulling me from my dazed state.'The besties group chat'. It's not a big one, just me and a few close friends. Cory texted, he said that he had gotten permission from his parents to go camping the first weekend of summer break and was wondering if any of us wanted to join him. Sid and Maddie said no due to them being busy; Maddie and her parents going to see family abroad and Sid having to work. Rin and Jamie said yes; I thought it'd be good to get out for once so I agreed to tag along too. Plus they needed someone responsible there. It was a few days until the trip so I thought I'd get some stuff done before we go. I finish doing jobs around the house and decide to go to bed. It wasn't long after my head hit the pillow that I fell asleep to my music I listen to every night.

I wake up the morning of the trip and stretch before getting up and dressed. Now all I have to do is wait for Cory to pick me up, we were the closest of the friend group having known each other for much longer. We've been friends since we were little kids, same with Sid so I was a little disappointed that they couldn’t join us. Cory text me when he finally made it to mine. I said goodbye to my mother and gave her a hug before grabbing my bag and heading out. The door was already opened for me with Cory standing beside it, holding the handle. "My leige" he said with a small bow "why thank you kind sir" I replied, getting into the passenger seat. He puts my bag in the trunk and hops in the drivers seat. "We ready?" Cory asked me as he turned the engine on, I nodded in response and we set off to get the others. Once we picked them up, we had a 45-minute drive to the camping location, luckily, we all had snacks for the ride. Although there was a small gas station on the way if we ran out of car food. I, as the one with the best music, took the aux cord and started playing my songs, singing along with most. When our favourite song came on, we all gave one another a look and started singing our hearts and lungs out to the lyrics.

We finally arrived. Cory had parked the car, we got all our stuff and headed to the campsite to start setting up. We finished putting the tents up and shoved our belongings inside them, gathering round a wood pile Cory had made with sticks, leaves and small branches he and Jamie got from the section of woodland nearby. Although we were all a little tired, we decided we wouldn’t go to bed just yet. We had eaten in the car but its been a couple hours since then and we were feeling a little peckish, so we decided to make something quick and easy. Cory got out his cooking supplies and his lighter and lit a leaf on fire, throwing it on the pile. The flame seemed as if it were about to go out before increasing significantly in size, the flickering fire burned bright, illuminating the surrounding faces. The heat from the golden flame hit me in the face before warming my body. We cooked some quick food and ate while chatting and laughing around the fire. Not long after we finished eating, Rin mentioned going to sleep soon so we had energy for the following day. I wasn’t against the idea as I had woken up early to pack my bag so we all agreed and said goodnight before crawling into our tents, changing and snuggling into our sleeping bags.

I was abruptly woken from my slumber by the sound of a pot being bashed with a wooden spoon and shouting "Wake up sleepy heads!". I undid the zip of my tent and peeked my head out, once my eyes had adjusted to the natural lighting outside, I saw who it was and rolled my eyes, of course it was Cory. I got out my tent, stood up and stumbled over to him, flicking him on the ear "shut up! We’re awake, idiot" I walked back to my tent yawning while he snickered behind me. When I came back out, the others were all talking amongst themselves. "So, what are we doing today?" Jamie asked through a yawn. "We're going on an adventure!" Cory replied, sliding back slightly with his arms going out. We may be older but he still acts like a child, it is amusing though, he always knows how to cheer us up when we’re feeling down. I grab an extra tote bag I packed, unfolded it and put lunch and drinks and some snacks for the journey. "We ready to go?" I ask, joining the trio around the burnt-out fire from the previous night, breaking them from conversation. "I'm ready when you guys are" Jamie gave the only worded reply to my question, Cory and Rin just gave a small nod. "Follow me then" Cory turned and started walking away, the rest of us following not far behind. "Where are we even going dude?" Rin questions Cory as we enter the woodland, we were all thinking it. "Who knows? Nature will give us a path and we shall follow it." Valid answer I guess. Well then, we have no idea where we're going, lucky I packed those extra snacks and drinks 'cause I assume we'll be doing a lot of walking. We come upon a parting either side of a family large tree, they were both long, winding dirt paths so we couldn't see where either one would take us. Cory looks down both passages for a second and heads down the one on the left. Me, Rin and Jamie look at each other and sigh before following after him. Who knows where we'll end up? Guess we have to find out. Mother nature, lead the way.
