I thought I could do this.
Continue lying to Vanessa.

But I don't think I can anymore.

it's eating me up inside. What she makes me feel, what she makes me do. I realise how much I've come to care about her in a short while.

When I see her in that whole white wedding dress. Damn! My breath catches in my throat.

She sent me pictures when they went shopping with Anastasia. I liked the dress and I told her so.

She seemed to really like it too.

'I fell in love with the dress at first sight' was what she said when we face timed during their shopping time.

I offered to pay for dress but she vehemently refused.

"I've got this one, babe. We've got a whole life time ahead of us, you will buy me things then."

My heart thumped hard against my ribs.

God ! I think I'm falling in love with this, stubborn, beautiful woman.

I can't help marvelling at how beautiful she is. She looks so elegant on her dad's arm walking majestically towards me like the Queen she is.

Halfway through the Isle, I grow impatient at how long it seems to be taking my wife to be to reach me.

I can't resist anymore as I walk over in long short strides ignoring the gasps of disbelief as I stop in front of my Soon to be Father In-law.

"Sir...."

Is the only word I utter to her father before I hook her right arm in between mine and I don't bother adding to that because he seems to have understood my incomplete sentence.

He gives me a knowing smile then takes Vanessa's hand gently then kisses it before letting her go. I relax a little bit when I see how much he loves his daughter.

I don't let go of her arm as he kisses her left and right cheek. She's not wearing a veil as the dress she chose has a tiara, in which her hair was pinned in place with.
Not that I understand how it was done.

Her dad kisses her right hand again tears shinning in his eyes.

" You look beautiful, princess. Just like your mom on our wedding day ". Mr Clarke says, his voice cracking a little.

" That's the 20th time you're telling me that today, dad". Vanessa answers, with a emotional chuckle and the congregation let out mixed reactions.

Some gasp adoringly I think, some chuckle, some laugh, while some say Awww.

Vanessa blinks hard tears shining from her eyes but she firms her chin a second later sniffing as her cheeks wobbles. I see she's trying really hard no doubt to keep the waterworks at bay so she doesn't destroy her makeup.

Never one comfortable with emotional displays like this I stifle my jaw, turning slightly to face away from my soon to be bride and realize in rising consternation that my eyes have gone blurry from tears.

I grew up in a wicked family as I like to describe it if it was anything like it. My mother was a nanny at one of my dad's company, he saw the hardworking young lady of merely 23 years old and 42 year old Willias , fancied himself in love with her although I doubt that. My father is incapable of love.
