CHAPTER 27: Aries Is Sick

"Wake up! Lay-ge! Wake up!"

Tao is shaking Lay so early in the morning. He's handing his phone and really in a hurry.

"Hmm...what is it?" Lay opens an eye

"Yah. Your mom called me, where's your phone?" Tao blurted

Lay taps the bed to find his phone, when he found it already, it has been shut down all night.

"It's dead" Lay shook his phone

Tao heaves deep sigh "Aries is sick, she was brought to the hospital last night"

Lay widens his eyes and jumps off the bed "Lemme call my mom again" he borrows the phone of Tao

POV: LAY

Tao walks out of the room for awhile. I hold his phone, not even making any move. I shut my eyes in irritation. She's very ill now.

The last time I visited her, she's coughing so hard. The doctor said that her respiratory system isn't working properly. It's because of the high impact of cold weather. She's supposedly in a tropical place. She's been ill when she's still staying in Seoul. And now, she's weaker. I don't know what to do.

I heard Suho and Tao talking behind the door "Aries is sick?" "Lay-ge's mom said" "Is that very bad?"

I sigh. Dialling my mom's number, my fingers are shaking. I can't make them still.

"Tao-ya?"

"Mom, it's me"

"Yixing! Honey, Aries can't breathe properly. The doctor said that her lungs are getting weaker"

I shut my eyes to prevent my tears. Absorbing all the words.

"Yixing. Hello?"

"Mom..." I sigh

"Can you visit her? She needs you. I know. She's not your girlfriend but you care for her, right?" I can hear my mom's shaky voice

"Mom. Don't cry, okay?"

"Aries is such a good girl. She's been a daughter to me here" my mom sobs. Damn. She's really crying

"Mom. No. Don't cry. I'll book a flight to Changsa tomorrow. Tell Aries to have patience, wait for me."

"Okay son, I'll call you for an update. Take care. I love you"

"I love you too" the call has ended

I sit on the floor, leaning my back on the edge of the bed. I feel like dying right now. My co-members never had and idea on what's happening to Aries already. I leaned on my arms and absorbed the pain.

Suddenly, the door opened. It's Suho and Sehun who entered the room. They all looked curious. I flashed a small smile to them.

"How's Aries?" Sehun sits beside me

"I-I need to go to Changsa by tomorrow" I glance up to Suho

Suho nods

"Is she okay?" Sehun asks

"She'll be okay" I pat Sehun's back with a smile

I stand to fix myself but Suho holds my arm and stares at me "What's up with her? Tell me" he mutters for Sehun not to hear it

I pull Suho out of the room so that we can talk clearly.

"She's ill since last month" I sigh

"What's happening to her?" Suho tilts his head

"Her lungs are getting weaker. It's because of the weather. If I could only bring her back to her country" my tears are welling in my eyes

Suho shakes his head "Can we visit her also? We will go to Changsa together"
