"Uh, your hands are making weird lights." Thor muttered, waving to our hands, clearly concerned with why our hands were lighting up. Loki sighed, rubbing his temples with his free hand while I laughed at Thor's oafishness.
"We know, Thor." I said, and he tilted his head, even more confused. Which was understandable. I was him the first time I saw it too, and I knew it wouldn't be the last time people would be confused as to why our hands lit up.
"Why?" he asked, and I turned to look at Loki to see that he was already look at me, a small smile on his face. His thumb rubbed circles on mine, and I found myself sinking into him. He felt like home, and I prayed that nobody ever took that away from me.
"Because I love him."
"And I her."

Chapter 9
Once Loki was awake and given the all clear, Steve said that we had to go quickly. I was confused as to where, until I remembered Thanos. If he got the Space Stone, the Power Stone, and the Reality Stone, all he needed was the Time Stone which was in possession of a doctor, the Mind Stone which was in Vision, and then the Soul Stone whose whereabouts were unknown. Or so Thor says. Tony seemed to have faith in this Doctor Strange guy, which didn't give me a lot of faith to begin with. Which currently left us to handle Vision and saving his life while keeping the Stone away from the stupid ugly grape. Hence why we were on the quinjet and headed to a place called Wakanada. No, that wasn't it. Waknada? No... Wakada? Whatever, that's where we were headed. Steve was convinced a friend of his could safely get the stone out of Vision so that we didn't have to kill Vision to keep Thanos from getting the stone. Everyone was relatively quiet, having quiet conversations with one another that never brought the noise higher than a quiet murmer. I turned to Loki, who was already staring at me. He squeezed my hand gently to let me know he was listening, and I smiled sadly.
"Promise me something." I whispered quietly, and I watched as he immediately seemed to understand what I was going to say. He smiled and rested his forehead against mine.
"Let me guess. Don't die?" Loki joked, but I didn't laugh. I didn't even smile. He seemed to realize I wasn't in the mood for jokes, and he sighed quietly.
"Exactly. I'm gonna kill Thanos myself." I finally said, and Loki locked eyes with me. I saw worry, panic, and adoration in his eyes, and it made me relax a bit. I had no doubt Loki was more worried about what I was going to do than anything else.
"Not alone, my love." he muttered, and I couldn't help but grin. I needed to lighten the mood, even if just for a moment.
"I would never!" I said sarcastically, causing Loki to chuckle with a slight shake of his head as he pulled away slightly. While he seemed relax, I could sense he was anything but that.
"Sarcasm suits you." Loki said, and I smiled before it dropped as I thought of Thor. Loki had mentioned he had left to get a new hammer, and I was worried that he still wasn't back.
"How long do you think it will take for Thor to get a new hammer?" I asked quietly, and Loki sighed. Clearly he was worried by Thor's absence too.
"Longer than we'd like." Loki muttered, and a comfortable silence fell between us. I gripped Loki's hand, scared that if I let go, I would lose him once more. I felt an anger grip me, and my eyes narrowed as I stared at nothing in particular. Loki squeezed my hand, and I looked to him to see him giving me a worried look.
"Thanos will pay for almost killing you." I said, and Loki rested his head once more against mine, knowing that nothing would stop me from protecting him. Maybe that's why he was worried, because he knew I would do whatever it took.
