"What are you doing?"

"I was reading my journal and-"

"Every time you start a sentence like that, it never ends well." Thena smirked glancing at the vines that covered the lab. "But continue."

"Why is the hallway covered in carnivorous plants and ferns?" Druig asked walking inside and sighed when he saw me hanging upside down on the ceiling. "You've been reading again, haven't you?"

"Okay, so there's this side to my earth manipulation that Ajak barely let me tap into! And considering that I've already done it before-"

"You decided to redecorate?"

"Better than stuffing my face with twinkies like you've been doing this past week." I pointed out grabbing one of the empty boxes of twinkies and threw it at Druig. "Besides, it's been two weeks and I'm bored! So why not experiment with my abilities since no one's going to snap at me for it."

"Have you tried manipulating metal?" Makkari asked using the vines as a swing. "And I encouraged her to do this."

"What do I look like? Magneto? I can't manipulate metal, at least not yet."

"You know Magneto?" Druig asked.

"I was there the day of the Kennedy assassination with Kingo and Sprite, dumbass. Remember that after that, I arrived in Australia a crying mess and was inconsolable for weeks?" I rolled my eyes and Thena shrugged. "Speaking of which, have you heard from them?"

"Not yet. But first I want to talk about all of this." Thena gestured to the lab and I sighed jumping down from the vines. "You encouraged her?"

"This only happens to her when she gets strong emotions. Other than that, all she did was grow flowers and never tapped into her earth manipulation." Makkari pointed out and I nodded with a grin.

"No she doesn't. She did this all the time." Druig protested and I shook my head. "The Adonis flower?"

"Me."

"Narcissus?"

"Also me. Notice how you're mentioning flowers but never mentioned olive, aloe, papyrus." I shrugged and Druig had a look of realization on his face.

"If it's not perfect, nobody notices."

"I always had to stay in my place and be perfect, remember? Why do you think my suit is pink? Lucky for me, I never learned how to follow instructions." I smirked climbing back on the vines and swung around. "Next, I want to work on my emotion manipulation. Who wants to be a lab rat?"

"Definitely not me." Thena chuckled and went back to work on trying to locate Sersi, Phastos and Kingo since they disappeared two weeks ago. "Are there any twinkies left?"

"Druig ate them all." I smirked and Druig scoffed trying to walk away but I blocked his way with a huge cactus. "Love you!"

"And apparently I've dealt with this since the dawn of creation."

"Don't be a little shit, Adonis."

"You're cooking?"

"You and Karri seem down, so I wanted to try and make some of Dad's comfort food."

"Druig, you can't cook for shit." I smirked rolling up my sleeves and pushed him away. "I'll do it."

"Any luck?" Druig asked sitting on the counter and I shook my head. "It's been weeks."

"They'll show up. But we can't orbit around Earth for much longer if we don't want Arishem on our ass." I shrugged holding a spoon to his mouth. "I think it's missing something."
