Chapter Seven:
|Convincing Diggle|
Wanda's Pov

"Really, what was all you could find? A masquerade mask?" Oliver whispered to me as we were hiding in Laurel's apartment.

"That was all I could find in a short period of time." I whispered back. We heard the keys jiggling into the door notifying us that Laurel was opening the door.

"Shh, here she comes." Oliver shushed me as we waited for her to enter the room. Oliver stood in the shadows and I was near the window.

She walked pass us and she walked to a dresser and grabbed a gun. She turned around looking at both at us very confused. Oliver had a small machine that changed his voice.

"Hello, Laurel." Oliver was about to step.

"Don't move!" Oliver raised his bow showing her that he wasn't a threat to her. Than Oliver glanced over to me notifying me to show my hands. I raised my hands up.

"We're not going to hurt you."

"Stay back. My father's a cop. You are making a huge mistake." Oliver would take a few steps closer to her.

"I'm not the person you think I am. Either is my partner. And we need your help. Peter Declan is gonna be executed in 48 hours. We think he's innocent. Declan's wife was gonna blow the whistle on Jason Brodeur. Brodeur had her murdered." Oliver was explaining to Laurel why Peter Declan should be saved.

"There are thousand lawyers in Starling City. Why me?" Oliver lowered the gun and leaned towards her.

"The three of us are trying to help." Oliver stood behind her, Oliver and I exchanged looks.

"What makes you so sure I'm gonna help you and you're partner in crime?" She asked as she was staring at me. I wanted to snatch her gun away from her hands but I stood still with my hands in the air.

"Because I know you'd do anything to save the life of an innocent man." Oliver rushed quietly out the window, Laurel turned around seeing Oliver was gone. As her back was faced me it was my cue to leave the apartment as well.

Oliver and I returned to the warehouse to change our clothes, things seems to be very quiet between us. Not that there's anything between us to begin with, he's very serious and keeps everything strictly 'by the book'.

"You still love her don't you?" I spoke first while Oliver was behind a curtain changing this outfit.

"Who?" He asked back.

"Laurel Lance. You're ex-girlfriend." Oliver stepped out the curtain and walked over to the computers.

"No." Oliver instantly replied, I smiled to myself knowing he wants to dodge the question.

"You sure? I saw the way you looked at her." I crossed my legs and placed my hands on my lap.

"I didn't look at her in any way." I chuckled and sighed with a smile.

"Oh yes you did Oliver, if I wasn't in the room you'd probably had sex with her." Oliver scoffs placing his hands in his hips.

"Wanda!"

"What, I'm just pointing out the facts." I raised my hands in defense.

"Look, the relationship I have with Laurel is... complicated." I raised an eyebrow I was very intrigued but this little drama or complication. I was about to say something when Oliver spoke.

"Can we not talk about this. Please." Oliver warned me. I rolled my eyes and sighed.

"Fine. So any word on Diggle?" I asked him a different question.
