The Adventure Kids meet Curious George

Chapter 3

Eventually, the gang arrived in Africa and immediately went out once the boat had docked. They were hiking through the jungle when Ted spoke to their native guide, Edu. 

"Uh, Edu... Don't worry the kids, but we're hopelessly lost"

"We can hear you" David said to Ted. 

"And your book is upside down" Ann pointed out. 

"They're right, sir" Edu informed Ted. 

"Oh!" Ted turned his book back up right, giving a sheepish grin. "Good catch"

The gang soon came across this rock formation with the walls all covered in paintings. 

"Whoa!" The kids were in awe, looking at the unusual artwork. 

"Pretty!" Molly said while walking with Frizzle. 

"Guys, do you see this?" Ted asked the gang, being too focused on his book to notice the paintings. "We are so close!" 

The gang was now walking through the tall grass. "Stay close everyone" Kali told them, knowing they could easily get lost in here. 

"I feel like an ant" Brock commented. 

"And I feel like a victim here" Cynthia said, constanly swatting the air as the bugs kept flying at her face. 

Teeders was now looking at Ted's book, soon turning to her friends. "Guys, did you know Zagawa means enlightenment?" 

"Really? Cool" Brock smiled. 

Suddenly Ted gasped, bringing the gang to a sudden hault.  

"Why'd we stop?" Ann asked. 

"A rhino!" Ted warned, seeing it up ahead while taking out a gun. "Stand aside, guys. This is a tranquilizer gun. I'm just going to put him to sleep"

"Ted, that's not a-" David was about to say. 

But it was too late as Ted fired the shot when the dart bounced off the rhino, revealing it to have actually been a boulder and right into Edu's leg. 

"Oooh!" The Akids, Molly and Frizzle all winced. 

"Nice shot, Mr. Ted!" Edu replied woozily before passing out on the ground. 

"Oops" Ted said. 

"Way to go, Mr. explorer" Cynthia scoffed to Ted since he knocked out their guide. 

"Hey, give him a break" Kali scowled over towards the fashionista. "He's trying his best" 

"Okay. Uh, let's break for lunch" Ted suggested. "For the next four to six hours"

"Or longer, depending on how much he weighs" David looked down at Edu who was sleeping soundly. 

The gang soon sat down under a big tree to each their sandwhichs for lunch. Kali shared hers with Molly and Frizzle since it had veggies and no meat. 

"Hey, guys we need to reapply sunscreen" Teeders realized, taking out the bottle. 

"Oh, yeah!" Brock said. "Time to lather ourselves up!"

Ann then looked over at Ted before noticing something odd... His hat was missing. 

"Ted, where's your hat?" She asked, pointing out. 

The gang then heard something in the tree before looking up to see a little monkey with Ted's hat. 

"It's a monkey!" David said. 

"Ew! Get away from it!" Cynthia backed away in alarm. "It might have monkeypox!"

"Cynthia, that's not a real thing" Brock told the fashionista, before turning to the others. "Is it?"
