Kali, Teeders, and David peeked their heads inside the office, ovehearing Mr. Bloomsberry tell Ted the museum just wasn't bringing in crowds like it used to and no one was buying anything from the gift shop. Even the glow-in-the-dark star stickers.
"Oh, man. I love those" David whispered. "Especially the Milky Way"
Teeders nudged his shoulder, telling him to keep quiet while they listened. Ted asked Mr. Bloomsberry what would happen to the museum. That's when a man with glasses and a ponytail who was Mr. Bloomsberry's son, Junior, said it would be torn down into a parking lot.
"The world doesn't need another parking lot" Ted said. "The world needs a place where kids' brains can grow"
"Exactly" Junior replied. "That's why I'm thinking they can grow trying to count all the spaces in the new parking lot. Come on, how fun is that?"
"Is he serious?" Teeders asked, looking between David and Kali.
"It's time, Father" Junior brought out some papers for his father to sign. "We're not going to get a better offer"
"I know. I know" Mr. Bloomsberry sighed.
"Wait!" Kali then burst into the office with Teeders and David. "You can't close the museum!"
"Hey, no kids back here!" Junior glared towards them. "Beat it!"
Mr. Bloomsberry looked towards Akids, asking. "What are you children doing here?"
"We're sorry for the intrusion" Teeders apologized. "But we couldn't help but overhear..."
"Please, don't close the museum" Kali begged the adults. "We love this place!"
"Well, most of us anyway" David mentioned.
"There has to be a way we can save the museum" Teeders said.
"They're right!" Ted agreed with the kids. "What if we did something?"
"Yeah, like we got some amazing new exhibit" David suggested.
"You know, kids, you should learn to mind your own business" Junior gave this mocking glare at the Akids before turning back towards Ted. "And Ted, you need to worry about finding an amazing new job"
"Hold on, Junior" Mr. Bloomsberry told his son, being curious now of Ted's idea. "Ted, if you have an idea, now is the time to speak up"
"Yes, what exhibit?" The Akids asked Ted eagerly.
Ted was lost for words before noticing a picture on a bulletin board in the corner of a giant statue that almost looked like King-Kong.
"What about the Lost Shrine of Zagawa?" He suggested.
Mr. Bloomsberry gasped in amazement. "My goodness!"
"The Lost Shirne of Za-what?" Kali and Teeders both titled their heads with their eyebrows raised.
"You lost us at the lost" David said.
"It's an ancient idol. 20 tons of granite carved by 1,000 craftsman over 100 years" Mr. Bloomsberry explained to them, taking out a book. "I had all the charts ready. I was all set to go to Africa, when something happened. Hmm... Slips my mind"
"Hello?" Junior waved, pouring a cup of coffee. "How about the birth of your only son? That would be me"
"Yes" Mr. Bloomsberry now remembered. "Then I began another adventure... raising Junior"
"Well, now that that's done, you can finally finish what you've started" Ted told his boss.
"Which is bringing home The Lost Shrine of Zagawa!" Kali said.
