The beginning of all Life. It all begins somewhere. This is the tale of that very life. A tale of legend. A tale of truth. Of love and loss. This is the tale of the beginning. My beginning.

Nothing. That's all there was. Nothing but darkness and Twilight. Until 3 beings arrived. The Golden Godesses. They were named Din, Farore, and Nayru.

The 3 decided to create life out of nothing. Out of the darkness that bore the essence of chaos itself.

Din, cultivated the land and created the Red Earth. Nayru, gave the spirit of law to the world. Farore, produced all life forms who would uphold the law.

The three created new life. But something was wrong. Nothing within this new life was moving. Nothing was breathing. It was all nearly stagnant.

The 3 sister banded together. They poured all of there very being into creating the power that would help life.

Time.

The 3, when their jobs were done, fled the plain that they created. Leaving behind the Triforce. The very essence of their power. It was sealed within the Sacred Realm.

However...The sisters had not realized they left more behind. Their creation of Time gave birth to a fourth Goddess. Me. I became known to Life as the Goddess of Time. And that is all I would be. For many many years...

I spent my time moving the winds and streams. Never really interacting with the Life my sisters had created. Nor did I encounter the beings of Darkness. I only observed.

One day, however, I discovered something interesting. I found two children. One of Life. And One of Darkness.

I watched these two. It was the first I had seen of the two species getting along. They laughed together, cried together, and even fought on some occasions. But they never raised a hand to one another. They always talked.

It was interesting.

I watched them for years. Even as they grew apart, as the war between their species grew. But I could tell they bared no ill will towards each other.

Fondness. It was the first of many feelings I acquired from watching the being of Life. Curiosity, as I would later learn, was something I always had. Life was easier to watch over that Darkness.

I observed Life as she grew strong. She became a leader to her people. A ruler for their lands. Lands which were named Hyrule, after herself Hylia.

Life had a name. Names were everywhere but was untouchable. Hylia was a beautiful name. It suited her.

Overtime, the war grew. As did the casualties of the Hylians. And the beings of Darkness, of Twilight, suffered as well.

A great evil arose. A being so dark, so vile, that he instilled fear into his own species. And yet they followed him. They fought for him. And died for him.

The man learned of the Triforce. He learned of its power. He wanted it. All of it. So he went to the Sacred Realm, and stole it. Or rather, bonded with a piece.

Din always represented power. Raw strength. She held the physical power to overthrow anything. It was this strength that called the evil.

Evil acquired the Triforce of Power, of Din, but the other two eluded his grasp. They retreated, finding him to be unworthy of their essence.

Hylia learned of this. She knew that with Power on his side, Evil would win and her people, dead.

She knew what had to be done. She went to the Sacred Realm. She did not call for the Triforce. She begged my sisters. She begged for the power to protect. The Wisdom to lead her people to victory.
