reader goes to far to save hope and has to deal with the consequences of her actions

( at the hospital )

"don't do this y/n" josie begs while lizzie glares at you

"he's already dying, i can save hope!" y/n shouts at the twins

"he's our father, and your not a murderer!" lizzie snaps back

you were going to use an already dying alaric to bring hope back from the dead, cleo used the stake from the tree josie and lizzie grew with hope before she turned. they killed her because she was a threat without her humanity.

"your not going through with this, you can't!" lizzie shouts again waving her hands in the air

"lizzie! i love her, im so close to losing it without her, i need her right now!" y/n says

"that doesn't mean you need to kill my father, your my best friend, you wouldn't hurt me like this." lizzie says, she was y/ns best friend and basically her sister.

"im sorry lizzie, and jo, i really am, but i need to do this." y/n apologies. "ad sumnom" y/n ran behind the two girls and used her vamp strength to hold them up to bring them to the hospital chairs in alarics room.

"well here going nothing..." y/n says to herself. she looks over to josie and lizzie who are passed out on the chairs, walks over to them and pressing light kisses on each of the two girls foreheads and walked back "im so sorry" y/n said to the girls who couldn't hear her.

( after the ritual at the school)

"god why isn't she up yet..." y/n says to herself stressed running her hands through her hair.

suddenly y/n jerks her head when she hears a cladder from the bathroom, she runs and see hope in the tub breathing hard.

"hope?" y/n says with a smile

"y/n..?" hope says confused

"oh my god, your here" y/n runs over to hope hugging her tightly as if she was going to disappear. "oh god your okay...your okay.."

hope hesitantly pulls away from the hug, "how am i here? i-i died.." she asks y/n

"i...i um... it really doesn't matter n-" hope cuts y/n off. "y/n what did you do, i shouldn't be here."

"hope i brought you back, because i love you, and im sorry it took me so long to say it and fully realize it" y/n says to hope while looking at her lovingly.

hope sat up a little from the tub and looked into y/ns eyes. hope leant forward until there was only a small gap between the two girls faces. y/n could feel hopes breath fanning on her lips. suddenly hope closed the gap between the two kissing her with so much love and placed her hands on y/ns hips gently and brought y/n to straddle her lap in the bathtub. y/n wrapped her arms around hopes neck. kissing each other passionately for 2 minutes which felt like an hour.

hope pulls away looking into y/ns eyes while trying to catch her breath," i love you too" she says with a small smile.

"yeah?" y/n whispers teasing her, "yeah i think so" hope says back quietly.

(when josie and lizzie arrive back at the school)

" WHERE THE HELL IS THAT BACKSTABBING LITTLE BI-" lizzie yells waltzing into the school getting cut off by josie. "lizzie i know we are mad at her but don't hurt her okay?" josie whimpers out, tears still rolling down her face from crying about her father.

" joz im sorry but she deserves a lot more than what im about to give her" lizzie says to her sister sternly but softly.

( in hopes room )

hope and y/n were laying down on hopes bed, y/ns head on hopes chest, under hopes chin. while hope had one arm thrown around y/ns waist, hugging her slightly. hope kissed the crown of y/ns head softly.

"so are you going to tell me what you did to bring me back because i know how much power that takes." hope says with a hint of suspicion in her voice.

" you'll know soon enough" y/n said as she sighed knowing she was going to have to face lizzie's wrath and josies disappointed pouty face.

hope hummed then tightened her grip on y/ns waist and closing her eyes.

suddenly there was loud yelling from downstairs making y/n and hope bolt up, y/n knew it was time.
