She was the complete opposite of Prince Zuko, she kept to herself, she didn't let her anger control her, she had a calm thing about her, making almost everyone feel comfortable around her.
He was angry, all he felt these past three years was anger. He wanted his honor back. He wanted his family back. He didn't want to have this disgusting scar on his face, showing off how he disrespected his father, how he was a disgrace to the fire nation.
Back when they were little they were best friends, that didn't change until they were both thrown onto a ship with his uncle. Zuko pushed her fully away, yet she didn't stop trying to be there for him. His father told her parents that it would be an "honor" for her to join his son for the search of the avatar.
Iroh taught Zuko how to master his firebending, how to keep his anger at bay but one day he couldn't.
