I can't breathe.
Something is strangling me, I can't seem to breathe properly. Everything feels so strange, what's happening? All I know is that I am running for my life.. but why?
A stranger suddenly appeared in front of me- blocking my way to stop me from running. "Die!" He yelled as he pointed his sword at me, attempting to kill me. I shut my eyes closed, not knowing what to do. The sword pierced through my stomach as I could feel the gush of blood swiftly draining my body. I have no idea what's going on, everything's happening so fast I can't keep up with anything. Suddenly a man shouted behind me, "Stop-".
I tried to remain awake but my consciousness was slowly fading, I could feel my very life being drained from me and every bit of energy inside my body started to be completely depleted.
Before I finally lose consciousness I heard his final words, "No please, don't- me again-".
I gasped as I sprung out of bed, sweat and tears ran down my face. I held my neck as I craved for air like a person who nearly drowned to death. Slowly, everything became clearer and realized that it was only another nightmare. I sat up properly- leaning my back against the headboard and drawn my knees up to my chest.
Another weird dream, the more these episodes keep coming, the more I feel like they're so familiar as if it actually happened to me. Urgh, chills ran down my spine at the thought of it.
"Knock, knock," Liam said while leaning against my door.
"Oh, uh- hi?" I said while rubbing my left eye. "How long have you been standing there?"
"Not that long, you okay? You're sweating a lot". He asked while walking towards me to check my temperature.
"Yeah, just had a bad dream." I sat properly. I rearranged my bed and got up to prepare for a shower.
"Well, mom wanted me to wake you up for lunch." I stared blankly into space. Lunch? Have I been sleeping that long?
"Just hurry up, you haven't had breakfast." He added before finally closing the door.
I brought my clothes and towel with me as I headed to the shower. After I've finished, I brushed my naturally lustrous golden locks before finally going downstairs, not bothering to dry them anymore though.
I sat beside Sevi who was busy with his cellphone. I swear, he's always busy with his 'flings'. "Just woke up?" He asked.
"I slept late so I woke up late." I lied, he shrugged at my response and placed his phone beside his plate before grabbing a piece of steak. "Want some?" I rolled my eyes and smiled, "Oh please." steak is our favorite meal.
Although I eat 'normally' as a teenage girl should be, my brothers eat like there's no tomorrow. Five plates are simply not enough to satisfy their hunger. Well, I did find it ridiculous at first but I got used to it.
I helped myself with some steak partnered with mashed potatoes and veggies as side dish 'cause only I would be the one to eat them anyway. For some reasons, they just hate veggies and only likes meat.
"So, have you finished packing your things yet?" Mom asked as she took a sip from her espresso. "Most likely." I nodded in response while the other two shook their heads and continued eating.
"Well, we'll be leaving this afternoon so better be quick." She excitedly reminded us.
"Do we have to?" I pleaded to be left out of the trip for the third time but sadly, "Not this again sweetie, your grandma misses her grandchildren you know? Besides, you used to love it there so what's the holdup?" she said in curiosity.
