I woke up feeling a burning pain directly from my back. I bet it's my injured wing. I wanted to check how it's healing but I'm afraid someone will come inside and see me. I could only groan in pain.

I laid on the bed in a sideward position, my back hurts the more I press on it.

The door opened and a woman came in, "Hi." She said awkwardly and smiled. She had a first aid kit and tray of food with her which I'm assuming is for me.

"I'm Vanessa." She laughed awkwardly and grinned. She placed the tray on the table and sat on the bed. "Seraphina." I told her.

"How are you? I heard you just woke up after being unconscious for three days?" She worriedly asked while tending to my hand that had bled earlier.

"Three days? I've been unconscious for three days?" My voice cracked. She offered me a drink and I gladly accepted it. "Thank you."

"No problem, Seraphina." She smiled.

"Please, just call me Serie."

"Well then Serie, just call me Nessie." I slightly laughed in my mind with how that rhymed. I shifted position and sat properly when she saw my chains.

Her eyes widened, "My god Serie, did he do this to you?" She slightly shouted in surprise. "That damn brother of mine." She cursed. She must be talking about Vincent. They do look a lot alike. Although she had brownish hair, their facial structure is more alike, especially their clear light-blue eyes.

Her eyes suddenly became cloudy, like what I've seen with Vincent's earlier. Suddenly, a man came inside the room and gave him the keys.

"Thanks, you may go." She thanked the man and left. Nessie removed the chains from my leg and threw it on the ground. I rubbed my leg as it left marks on it.

"Damn, it even left marks. He is so dead when he gets back." She threatened with her fist.

"I'm fine but I don't really get what's going on, especially what happened to me for the past three days." I've been unconscious for far too long and I'm worried about my family. They must think I'm missing or worse, kidnapped.

"I know everything's uncertain for you right now and that's why I'm here." She stated. "I'll answer any question you have in mind so just ask ahead." She added. It took some time for me to settle my thoughts before finally asking, "Before coming here, I was chased by wolves but Vincent said they weren't ordinary wolves, they were werewolves. How is that possible?"

"Well, that's a hard topic." She chuckled. "But it's true. We're part of the same kind. Our species have been existing for many years. No one really knows because we kept our kind on a low profile 'cause you know, we would kinda be extinct by now if humans were aware of us." She continued. So they are one of them. I've never taken the possibility of having other extraordinary species than me or my friend witch. I don't know how to feel and it's all so confusing.

"Not to brag that we excel in every way than humans do- it's just that, even if we do, they'll be a threat to our kind just as how they would think we'll be a threat to them." I get what she's trying to say, it is a cruel world we live in. If you're weak, you'll find fault to those who are stronger. A world where only the strongest survives.

"What do werewolves do?"

"We do things what humans mostly do, except that we live more than their lifespan could. Plus, we can shift in our human form and wolf." She said while grinning.
