She was walking down the street by herself. A purse in one hand, and her bag of groceries in the other. The prominent bags under her eyes made it obvious she needed some sleep, and soon too. Unluckily for her, she had about twelve more blocks to walk before she was on the same one as her apartment. And even after that, she'd have to cram in a few hours of studying before her history test tomorrow.

With slurred steps, she dragged her way down the dark streets. The only thing that really even gave her the ability to see were the street lamps. But even they were flickering, showing that they too were tired.

"Of course it was my day to get groceries," she grumbled to herself. She got lost in the world of complaining, letting her body go on autopilot for the rest of the way to her apartment. "After a long day and when I have a test tomorrow."

She let out a sigh, pushing her way forward and down the street. An endless amount of unholy words filtered through her brain to describe her piece of shit brother. Could he seriously not just get the damn groceries after knowing she'd had a long day? The groceries weren't even hers!

"A pretty lady like you shouldn't be out here all alone so late at night. You know that, l/n?" a somewhat familiar voice called out to her. She turned around and looked up at the oh so familiar face of a red mask. He sat in his signature crouching position at the edge of a platform that roofed a drugstore. "How about I help you get home."

"Shut up and go pester somebody else, Parker," she squinted her eyes.

Spider-man just laughed. He stood up, walking off the edge of the building like he didn't care for his life or if he'd injure himself from falling. If it had been her first time seeing him do that, she might've flipped out a little bit. But it hadn't. He did as expected, doing a flip midair before landing gracefully on the ground. He walked closer to her just by a little bit before leaning against a nearby brick wall.

"Wow, l/n," he let out a fake, and almost dejected, sigh, "I would've thought you'd be happier to see me."

She readjusted the bags in her hand, "Seeing you for several hours at school is plenty of time with you for me."

"Oh!" he clutched his hand over his heart. Pushing off the wall, he stumbled around like he'd just been stabbed or shot or something. She watched with a raised brow that only provoked him to continue with the charade. "You wound me!"

"Shut up."

Rolling her eyes, she resumed walking her way down the side walk. The superhero was quick to come to her side and follow her steps to her home. She glared at the boy from the side of her eye as she watched him take off his mask. He'd learned, from teaming up with the police to stop a group of villains once, that there wasn't a single camera on that block.

"Not until you admit you're absolutely, hopelessly in love with yours truly," he tossed his mask into her grocery bag. She could hold onto it for him for a minute or so.

Her brows furrowed slightly, "Why would I say such and obvious lie?"

"Because it's not a lie," he added a small skip to his step. He walked a few paces in front of her before stopping and turning around on his heel. When he got close enough, he booped her nose with a charming grin, "And you're just in denial!"

She did not find his smile cute. Any other girl would swoon over it, but she found herself glaring. "Go away," she mumbled.

"But I have nothing to do," he whined. Peter Parker was a stubborn person when it came to the matters of y/n. Because he had the misfortune of getting bitten by a spider and now using his powers for good, he put her life in danger. They were close; wether she were to admit it or not.
