Amala's POV
The brightness of the sun shined through my eyelids slowly pulling me out of my sleep. I groaned and attempted to get up but was restricted by a weight.
"Stop Lala, sleep.", she said making me notice I was asleep in her room.
I began to panic because I knew my phone was going off like crazy. I looked at the Apple Watch on my wrist and saw it read 8:47.
I also saw the trail of missed calls, I couldn't even count them all. Some were from friends but most were from my mom and sisters.
"Boog you gotta get up boo.", I said rubbing her arm.
"Sleep.", she whined snuggling deeper into my neck.
Once her breathing leveled out I slowly detached her hands and got up.
Luckily my crocs were right by the bed and I slipped them on. I tiptoed to the door but stopped dead in my tracks tip toeing back. I placed my lips on hers pecking them twice.
It's something about those lips I can't deny.
I went back to the door successfully getting out of it to see Nicki right there coming out of hers.
It looked bad because I had my jacket in my hand and my crocs.
"Well damn did you at least do it right?", she asked.
I looked curious before understanding what she was saying.
"Oh that didn't happen, I tried to escape yesterday evening but she began to cry, like bad.", I said.
She took my hand pulling me into her room.
"Wait she cried last night?", she asked .
I nodded.
"Shit!"
I was completely confused.
"Okay look Amala, I need you to know Lauren has a condition, her mood swings are serious and it's not just for attention okay, so one minute you might be in a room with someone who wants nothing to do with you and next you could get somebody who wants to be all on you.", she said.
Even though I already knew I acted surprised and shocked.
"Wait so that's why she doesn't talk?", I asked.
"She doesn't talk because after being locked up in a house and away from civilization for most of her life, she has severe social anxiety and one of her side affects is her being mute.", she said.
I nodded acting like I was thinking.
"Okay so what do I do about her wanting to be around me so much?", I asked.
"That's the problem, either you can accept the overbearing emotion or you will have to move on fully, she will cry behind it and might even barricade in her room, but she'll get over it.", she said.
