What's The Problem?

Lauren's POV

Once Boog was sleep I went downstairs to see the lady still here and I was doing good keeping my composure. The question was could it that way.

"How's she doing?", she asked once I was down the stairs.

"She's good, but lemme ask, who are you?", I asked .

"You know me Amala, remember Aunt Carol.", she smiled. I had short vague memories of her but I still wanted to know what was the deal between her and Boog.

"What did you do to Boog?", I asked.

"Wh— I would never hurt Lauren.", she said with a hurt expression.

"Lala I love you like a sister, but don't question my mother like she's a criminal.", said Nicki standing up .

"Oh no see that flew out of the window when I found out the reason Boog ran was because of her.", I said.

"Why would Boog run from Mama?", asked Nicki.

"I don't know, but she ran to Sonny to get away from her.", I said looking at the woman.

A frantic Latto came into the house with tears streaming down her eyes. She went searching for me I guess but paused when she saw her mother's face.

"What are you doing here?", she asked.

"Well turns out your mother is not only a teacher at the school, but she's also the reason for Lauren running.", I said.

"Amala chill the fuck out for real.", warned Nicki.

"So it's true?", asked Latto.

"When I was in the foster home with Lauren I saw her and our no good father walk in, they took Lauren into the office and next thing I know they're walking out but not with Lauren, minutes later a 6 year old Lauren is leaving with a man.", said Latto.

"Did he look like this?", asked Beyoncé showing her the picture of Sonny she sent to the police station.

"I think so, except a little younger.", said Latto.

"We couldn't keep them both, the man was so ready for a daughter, I didn't know he would do that to her, when your father told me how he truly met him and that led me to kill him.", said Aunt Carol.

"Mama please tell me you didn't.", said Nicki .

"I swear I didn't know, I didn't want Lauren to be left, but your father said he didn't think we were stable enough for a young child, once I found out what truly happened I began to search for Boog, I didn't truly find her location until I was locked up which is why I sent you two on the mission to find her.", she said .

"Latto you knew and didn't say anything?," I asked.

"Speaking of our father's track record, the foster home nor I knew of Lauren being related to me, when I finally did find out I didn't believe it was truly her.", she replied.

"Look I know what I did was wrong but I made sure to fix it whether I was in jail or not, I never hated you girls for being a product of Robert's infidelities, I loved and still love you both dearly, I want to be in Lauren's life finally, she probably thinks I'm horrible, but I will try to explain.", said Aunt Carol.

"Never that, I really just think Sonny boy should drop dead.", said Lauren coming downstairs.

I looked in confusion as she looked fine apart from the bruises. She seemed to not be anxious or angry.
