In The Past
"What are you doing." I asked.
William replied. "Archery".
"I have never done archery before."
Almost in sinc both William and Walker replied "We like a challenge!!"
We all immediately began to laugh.
William handed me the bow. And then the arrow. I drew back the quiver. I aimed. Shot. And missed.
Darn it. I tried a few more times and the boys helped me with my form. I only managed to hit the target on the outskirts once. As I handed the bow back to William. It was his turn to shoot and he almost got a perfect bullseye. My jaw dropped in astonishment. As he handed the bow to Walker. As he drew back the bow. The back door of their house opened and a goofy, wiggling mid sized dog ran out. I instantly felt like I was meeting an old friend. I looked to walker and William for an introduction.
" Ellen This is Bayner, Bayner this is Ellen" He said jokingly.
I gave him a devilish look.
