"It had to be you."
Those words from his mouth were something you never wished to hear. This was exactly the thought that sacred you.
Both your fates were sealed and no one could change it. But you both we were fools trying to change the future.
This wasn't supposed to happen. You weren't supposed to love him. You shouldn't have loved him. Your love wasn't ever supposed to happen but you both fought and fought against it but maybe the fate is really set on stone.
Looking in his eyes you whimpered,
"Why us?"
"We were fools thinking our love could be saved." He responded with a smile.
"When will I see you again?" You asked as a tear fell from your eye.
His smile widened more trying to bring you comfort but his glistening eyes, those eyes which bought destruction to the world but lit every inch of you showed his pain, showed his will to get our happy ending.
"I will meet you in another life...The life where we both are neither the hero nor the villain but just two souls falling for each other." His breath hitched but he continued speaking anyways with determination.
"I will find you. I will always find you and once I find you I'll make sure you fall for me. I'll make you fall for me a hundred times until we get our happy ending...until we get the ending we deserved."
He grabbed you by shaky hands pulling you closer to him and then one of his hands travelled to your cheek cupping it and stroking it with so much love.
His eyes were enough to let you know the thousands of emotions he was feeling. The love in his eyes for you was something you never knew you could experience. He always said his love for you was way more than yours and you always fought him but now looking in those eyes and having that hand which didn't hesitate to put fire to the world around you softly stroking your cheek you realized he wasn't joking.
He does love you more.
He always loved you more.
You were broken from your trance when you felt his other hand slip something sharp in your hold.
Looking down your gaze met the dragger in your hand. You felt you heart cease.
"N-NO" You screamed feeling yourself on the verge of a panic attack. Your eyes were a tearing mess but it didn't matter. None of it did. There has to be some other way.
"I can't. Please. Let's escape, let's run away. W-We don't have to do this. We'll find some other way. I can't please, I-"
Your rambling stopped when he softly but forcefully grabbed your face in his hands.
You could see the panic on his face and his strong facade just on the verge to break down.
He was trying to be strong. Strong for you. Strong for us.
"You know this is the right thing to do, don't you?" He whispered in his deep voice, the voice which gave you comfort and was your home but bought nothing other than more tears in your eyes today.
"I don't care." You said whimpering.
"Your habit to always stand on the right path made me fall for you. Don't change it. Not for me. You are doing the right thing. I am sorry for hurting you. If only I hadn't become the villain in our love story. Think of what we could have become. Mayb-, maybe we could love each other a different way in a different life and I promise that time it'll be forever."
