-------

I didn't sleep that night. None of us slept.

I went into a state of shock, having gone from one potential soulmate I might never meet, to two real-life mates right in front of me and six more still out there...

I was still in shock as Bear picked me up and took me upstairs, wrapping me in a blanket from my pile. I was only brought out of my trance when Adam placed a mug of tea in my hands. I finally realized where I was and met his gaze as I brought the mug to my lips.

"thank you" I murmured. The tea was perfect, most people dislike tea because they don't know that the temperature of the water and steeping time are crucial to the flavour. I guess one of the boys knows their tea.

"are you okay? " the boys were sitting on the floor with me, they knew so little about me and yet their faces were filled with concern.

"yes, sorry just shock I guess... I never thought I would ever even meet my soulmate, never mind having multiple." I gave a nervous smile.

"well we knew we would share a mate, but it's not like we imagined sharing her with six others" Bear offered with a smile. I only nodded, getting lost in thought again. Were they upset about the potential others? Would they reject me because of it? Adam stopped me before I was totally lost again.

"Hey don't disappear again" His tone was gentle. He was so gentle with me, and it brought me down to earth again.

It then occurred to me that they brought me upstairs.

"How did we get up here?" I was looking around at the mess and clutter strewn about, including a few pairs of seldom-worn panties and corsets.

"I carried you, I intended to put you on your bed but it seems to have stripped and escaped" Adam answered, causing me to blush for what seems like the millionth time since I've met them.

"the pile is my bed.." I mumbled, focusing on my now empty mug. Bear glanced over at the heap in the corner before grabbing a blanket and wrapping it around me. I set my empty mug on the ground and pulled the blanket around me, suddenly all too aware that I was alone with two men, sure they were my soulmates but they were also strangers.

"thank you" I smiled briefly at Bear. I guess I should better get the hard part over with.

"you don't have to stay, I don't expect you to want to share a soulmate with so many others" A part of me hurt, knowing that I might have to face this rejection six more times in my life, sure some people are okay sharing, but with seven other people? My heart sank further, there was pressure at the back of my throat and my eyes started to well.

"We aren't leaving unless you want us to" I looked up at Adam, a small spark of hope lighting in my chest.

"It's defiantly a shock, but you are our soulmate and we just want to make you happy" Adam crossed the room and sat in front of me, quickly followed by Bear. Adam hesitantly pressed his palm to my cheek, gently holding my face. It was heavenly, just this small touch made all my worries stop. Following his lead Bear cupped the other side of my face. My eyes flicked between them, they looked genuine.

"I know we just met you, but we have to travel to the Capitol in a few days." They were leaving already?

" We want you to come with us, but you don't have to. I mean you've got your shop and whole life here, it's just..." Adam trailed off

"We don't know when, or if we will be coming back," Bear finished for him.

"you don't have to decide right now, but we will be leaving as soon as you do."

"Yeah, no pressure" Adam smacked Bear on the back of the head.

"don't scare her"

We talked all night, just getting to know each other. I was glad they were moving so slow, I heard some soulmates jump each other as soon as they meet. I had never had a relationship before never mind getting intimate with a person. They told me they were hunters for the Queen who had sent them here to bring back a rare animal so she could have its hide. They had finally found it and had to bring it back. I didn't realize how much time we spent sitting on my floor together until sunlight started to coat the room.

"Oh shit I have to open the shop" I jumped up, flinging the blanket back into my nest area.

"You two are welcome to stay and hang around during the day if you want"

"thank you, but we need to pack and ready everything for the trip" Adam explained, dragging Bear towards the stairs.

"why do I have to go, do it yourself" Bear whined

"Nope, you're helping, plus she has to change idiot c'mon"

"Bye baby we'll come by later, promise!"

With that, they were out the door and I was on my own again. I had already gotten used to the noise and company, my once comfortable silence was now unbearable. Nevertheless, I changed into a comfy long black dress, with a deep green sweater overtop to combat the autumn weather, and went downstairs to open the shop. Throughout the day I couldn't stop thinking about everything, it had happened so fast.  Part of me, a brave part, wanted desperately to say yes, and get swept up by my two mates. The other part of me was terrified by the idea, craving the familiarity and routine of home. The home was comfortable. Home didn't have six other soulmates I haven't met yet, Gods what did I do to deserve this I'm just an orphan leading a boring ass life.
