"So we'll be starting off class with a team-building exercise. I know you guys have been doing them all day but we'll be spending a lot of time together so it's important that we do this" said Mr. Doh.
"If everyone can split into teams of five for me, please". Sunoo followed Sunghoon's lead and joined the group he was heading towards.
"This team-building exercise is called "untie the human knot" so grab one hand of the person in front of you and the person across from you"'. Conveniently, Sunghoon and Sunoo were across from each other so before they joined hands they looked at each other and smiled. "Now, try to escape the knot in five minutes... Go!"
For the first two minutes, Sunghoon and Sunoo's group was filled with laughter and squealing as everyone bumped and got close to each other. Sunoo was laughing so hard that his laughter became mute and his eyes formed a beautiful smile. Finding this infectious, Sunghoon couldn't remember a time when he laughed this much. For the last minute of the exercise, their team was so close to untying the knot, until Sunghoon accidentally went through Sunoo's arms, making him only inches away from his face.
Their chests were now pressed together and their eyes locked on each other. During this time, neither thought of anything and just stayed there, staring into each other's eyes. "Okay, time is up! You can let each other go and head back to your desks" said Mr. Doh. While everyone quickly let go of each other's hands, Sunoo and Sunghoon stayed standing for a few seconds until Sunoo's friend tapped him on the shoulder to say hello. Finally snapped out of their trance, Sunghoon and Sunoo rushed to their desks and said nothing, both wondering what the other was thinking.
What was that? Sunoo and Sunghoon thought.
After what felt like centuries of tension, the bell finally rang, making them both jump from their seats. Before Sunoo had the chance to run off, Sunghoon said "hey, what other classes do you have?".
"I have vocal music, this class, then geometry, and dance performance"
"I have dance performance also! I guess I'll see you then" Sunghoon said while grabbing his things.
"See you," Sunoo said smiling, trying to hide his panicked face.
As Sunghoon left, Niki stood outside the door waiting to have lunch with Sunoo. Once Niki saw Sunghoon, he made sure to shoot him a glare before Sunoo joined him.
"Hey, ready to go?"
"Yeah, let's go," Niki said as he put his arm around Sunoo.
"Get off Niki", Sunoo said, knowing Sunghoon was watching them as they entered the cafeteria.
However, Niki just pulled Sunoo closer, making eye contact with Sunghoon, "why you were mine first."
