So, just want to make it clear, no Elizabeth reincarnation, no original Elizabeth and Meliodas love story. That's not what made him leave in this. (: Mel also previously had had no perverted actions towards the girl when he was his normal age in this story.

Meliodas had quickly become very enthralled by humans after only a few visits from Ban and the others whom he had come to know the names of all.

In exchange for telling them some tiny things like what his favorite foods and games were, Ban would tell him all about humans. Even if the guy would only ask one question and Mel ten, he would patiently answer each of them as if he had all the time in the world!

Meliodas really liked him. He was so nice and the blond had learned so much!

Like how apparently humans couldn't just put back their hand if it was cut off with darkness! But they were still so fearless and went to battles anyway! And they were smart too. They had created their own ways of doing it with LOTS of science to make something called spell beads. How cool was that!?

And there were so many other things too that blew the child's mind.

Things like friends who had bonds as strong as he did with his own flesh and blood, parents who would raise ALL of the children rather than nannies or siblings.

Although, those weren't even the most fascinating things to Meliodas.

What truly got him addicted to learning about humans was two things.

One, the rule they broke time and time again even if their natural weakness could make it dangerous. Their ability to spare those that were even said to be their enemies! Even heal them! It was something Meli felt so deeply interested in. Mainly because he himself never liked hurting anyone at all, even bad guys! But.. some demons used to get angry about that.

Two, they seemed to get stronger somehow when protecting those that they cared about. It made no sense, but an average human could take down an average demon by sheer willpower to protect!

Their hearts had to be so strong to do that... nothing like the bugs they were called by demons.

Meliodas was shoving down his food like his last meal ever as he thought about it. Because yet again, he was going to meet with Ban to learn more about humans! He was so excited, but also impatient. Hence the zooming around everywhere to complete his morning routine before running out to the garden. Leaving two bewildered brothers.

"What was that all about?"

Estarossa asked the question on both of their minds, but after a minute of silence Zeldris went back to his coffee before answering.

"Eh, you know Mel. He's always had a crazy amount of energy and now he's a nine year old on top of it. He probably just wants to play in the garden and is too impatient to wait."

Estarossa took another unsure look out the back door before turning back to his own food.

"Yes, I suppose you're right."

While the two were partially correct, Mel was indeed impatient and he was in the garden.

The two just didn't know the company he was about to keep.

"Whaaaat?! So humans all have different magic!?"

"Yep! Do you guys not?"

"Well, we can have different types, but it's based a lot on type. Only the ten commandments have really unique and strong powers!"

"Woooow, they seem like some pretty strong guys."

"Mhm! They're only that strong because of their leaders though."
