Jumping to conclusions (Chris)

"Bye Ryan. I'll see you soon." You say to your older cousin as you got out of his car. You and your cousin decided that you two needed to catch up. It has been over six months since you last saw him.
As you walk up to the door of Chris's house you heard Ryan pull away and drive down the street. You knocked on his door waiting for him to answer. You waited about two minutes until the door flew open with a not-so-happy Chris on the other side. He opened the door wide enough so you could walk in, but he still hasn't said anything. As you walk in and past him you heard him slam the door shut making you jump and quickly turn around to face him.

"Chris people are actually asleep." You said as he still stared at you with the same mean glare on his face.

"I don't care. Who was that?" He asked while his face turned a slight shade of red. You let out a small giggle. Before you could say who it was he started talking again.

"You think this is funny? How dare you come to my house being dropped off by another dude. What if I came to your house and get dropped off by a random chick? You wouldn't like it." He rambled on while his voice got louder. You walk over to him and grabbed his hands. He quickly snatched them back and ran them through his hair.

"Chris if you let me explain-"

"No. You don't have to explain. I know what I saw and what I saw is you cheating on me." He said.

"Chris babe. Calm down. I'm not cheating on you. You need to stop jumping to conclusions." You say calmly as you attempted to grab his hand again. Once he didn't answer you continued.
You knew Chris has always been insecure. He always thought that you would leave him for someone better but to you there wasn't anybody better than Chris in your eyes.

"That was my cousin. I told you that I was going to hang out with him today. Well I didn't say him but I did say my cousin. Anyway you don't have anything to worry about because I love you and would never give it a thought to cheat on you." You said while smiling. His eyes widen as he remembers the chat you two had earlier in the week. Instead of saying anything he pressed his lips against yours making you smile. The kiss was short and simple but it always had the same effect on you.

"I'm so sorry."

"It's alright Chris. We all make mistakes." You said with a smile. He smiled back and yawned.

"Do you want to stay over?"
