BOOM
You jump as you pull your blanket over your head.
You have a huge fear of thunderstorms. The loud thunder throughout the sky and the bright lightening that would make it look as if it was daytime. It just makes you scared and nervous."Baby." You heard whispered your way. Knowing that it was Chris you peeked your head from under the blanket and look at him through the dark.
"What?"
Before he could reply another boom of thunder rung throughout the sky, making you let out a high pitch scream and pull the covers back over your head. You heard Chris sigh and pull the covers over his head as well.
You two were now both under the covers, staring at each other."Sweetheart it will be okay. It's just a storm." He said while tossing his arm around your waist and pulling you closer. You rested your head on his chest and released a big breath.
"I guess so."
He sighed and removed the covers from over both of your heads. He got out of the bed and walked out of the room. You sat there for ten minutes by yourself waiting for him to come back. Every time you heard a crack of thunder throughout the sky you would squeeze the blanket and close your eyes thinking of a happy place. Sighing you couldn't stand to be up here by yourself anymore so you walked downstairs. Your blanket dragged against the floor as you walked downstairs. It reminded you of when you were little. You use to wrap your blanket around you in this same sort of fashion and walk over to your parents room.
As you made it to the living room you noticed that the TV was on and playing your favorite movie. Very loudly you might add. But Chris on the other hand was no where to be seen."Chris?" You said while wrapping the blanket more tightly around your body.
"I'm in the kitchen making popcorn and pouring some drinks. Just sit on the couch and relax babe."
You sighed as you walked into the living room and sat down on the couch. You paid attention to the tv and tuned out the rain that was pounding against the house. The smell of popcorn instantly hit your nose as you heard the kitchen door open.
"Baby you look so comfortable." Chris said with a chuckle. You smiled at his silliness as he sat down beside you. He placed the two drinks on the coffee table and placed the popcorn in his lap. He grabbed the remote and turned up the movie even louder.
"Chris why is it so loud."
"Well I thought since the thunder was loud and was keeping you awake, we should watch a movie and cuddle until we fall asleep." He answered while throwing his arm around your shoulders then kissing the top of your head. You smiled at his sweet gesture and kissed his cheek.
"Thank you so much. I could not have a better person than you in my life. Well besides my family, but you get my point."
He laughs and pecks your lips.
"I'm just lucky enough to have you in my life baby girl."
