Janus Sanders angst

Chapter 1

Janus woke with a yawn and lied there for a few minutes before sitting up he stared  at his closet aster contemplating what to do.
He finally put on an oversized sweater that he may or may not have stolen from Thomas, as he was the smallest side and Thomas didn't fit into it anymore anyway he threw on a beanie instead of his normal bowler hat  wearing tight ish sweat pants but still comfortable (edit: he was wearing black stretchy gloves instead of his regular ones since he can't lie without them in my au) he then headed downstairs to make breakfast for Remus and decided to take one of 2 pop tarts from a bag. setting one in the bag next to Remus's plate of hot pancakes eating the one in his hand and going outside for a bit. claming internally it was for a walk

The real reason he wanted to go out was to meet his friends Lidia, and Chase, or as we call him Cheshire he, a kid in a cell next to Janus, Cheshire wasn't experimented on for long but his powers were much like a Cheshire's same as close as ever since he has seen Alice in wonderland he has fell in love with the character He can levitate and turn invisible it's like he turns off his gravity and floats although he can do it to other people which is a bummer

Jan's POV
"Wow pretty nice day out"
*a few minutes of walking later he arrives at a park (if you have seen once upon a time on Disney + you know Henry's playground he's at with Emma it's that one only this one is completely abandoned)
I suddenly hear someone behind me
"JANUS!!!!"
*I suddenly am hugged and lifted into the air by Cheshire floating 5 or so inches from the ground from our dangling feet as he can float*
"Cheshire Hi!"
C: "hi J!!!"
"hey why don't you put me down so I can give you a proper hug?"
C: "yes!!!!"
*He puts me down and I immediately turn around and practically jump on him. he's practically my brother from since we were 5*
Lid: "what so no hug for me?"
*I look over to see my basically mother figure standing there in a black leather jacket with her black hair in a ponytail gray leggings and a gray black shirt meanwhile Chesh, is wearing a dark and light purple long sleeve shirt and gray leggings*
Lid: "and to think in the year we haven't seen each other" *she sighs dramatically*
*Cheshire puts me down and I tackle her I'n a hug*
"Your so over dramatic it's only been a month"
Lid: "says the tiny boy clinging onto me like I was his mother who forgot him at the store"
"Hey I was not"
*I let go and crossed my arms*
Lid: "mhm ok little baby"
"Whatever loser" *I snort*
Lid: "whatever 'son'"
"Ok mOM"
Lid: "awww so I am your moms
"hEy NO" *I start speed walking after her as she starts walking to the play set chesh close behind enjoying the show*

Romans POV
*I hear yelling not in danger yelling but yelling where is that coming from?
I soon find a small clearing that has a play set and... Deceit?!?!?! And he's chasing after someone
Worried he might hurt them I take out my sword half way until I heard him..... laughing? Not manic laughing no like fun laughing
I put my sword away and hide behind one of the trees so they can't see me but I can see them*

(Before this story continues Jan's, Lidia's, and Cheshire's relationship is platonic family they escaped and took care of each other)

Jan's POV
"Lid!!!" *I could hardly breathe we were talking about when we were kids and we did some embarrassing stuff she was showing us a memory as she can show memory's like it's a video or she can only keep it to herself *

*The memory was me covered in mud as it had rained the day before they lived under a bridge (Roman is in a position where he can see the memory) I had my clothes covered head to toe in mud as I had been getting splashed my Cheshire and I was strait (it took me 5 minutes To spell strait as you can clearly tell I am not meanwhile I didn't even spell it right-) bawling my eyes out I was the youngest out of the three with lid being oldest at 4 years older than me and Cheshire being 2 years older at the time I was 4 Cheshire was 6 and lid was 8*

*I was crying because I had gotten muddy later Lid had to take me into the river and wash me off I was still crying my eyes out*
"I was trying to forget that ever happened"
(At this point roman was doubled over in pain laughing at the young Janus he could tell from the scales)
lid: "but why you were adorable!"
*Cheshire was laughing too and hugged me*
C: "awwww baby bro don't be maaaaaad"

Roman's POV
*He stopped laughing* wait Janus.... has, a brother? *he looked back and forth between the boys and he assumed their sister* they look nothing alike and they don't sound similar *his mind was racing* how could he Janus have a brother.... and why is he so.... nice to them
*suddenly he was summoned to Thomas*
"ach"
Virgle: "lol"
"Oh shut up hot topic"
Virgle: "aw you think I'm hot"
"What no!!! But anyway I have something to talk you all!!!!!"
Patton: "oh is it from your adventure kiddo?"
"Well kinda I got off track but it's weird and about Janus"
Logan: "Roman is it not polite to spy on people"
Virgle: "What did that evil snake do now?"
"What no he didn't do anything but I saw him at an abandoned play set! Wait hold on they should still be there! Come on!!!"
*With that he pulled all 3 sides his host and himself to where he was previously*
*Janus was still there but was now running from a grinding cheshire trying to tickle him*

Janus POV
"MOM HEEEEELP!!!!!" *I screeched as I was pulled into a hug and started getting tickled*
Lid: *sigh* "fiiiiiine I'll help"
*At this point I was laughing like a maniac
Lid finally pulled Cheshire off me as we all 3 sit on the wood as I lay on my side tears in my eyes trying to catch my breath a few seconds later Cheshire plopped down on my boney ribs*
C: "ow dude I can feel your ribs!"
"Oh yea I'm just skinny"
C: "how many pounds are you?!"
"Ummmm I think around 80?"
Lid: "80 pounds?!"
C: "dude I'm way heavier than that!!!!"
"Yea well they used to feed you more than me that usually causes people to have eating disorders"
C: "oh..... right"
*The mood suddenly got dark*
Lid: "ok gremlin children how about we not talk about the horrible past that I'm sure if any of us had to relive we'd kill ourselfs"
"I can't remember most of it" *I grumbled*
Lid: "what was that Mr emo snake boy?"
"Nothing- HEY IN NOT EMO!!!"
*At this point the mood was brighter*
C: "Hahahaha!!! Ok that's DEFINITELY what I'm calling you now little bro!"
*He said as he ruffled my hair*
*I swatted his hand away*

Roman POV
"SEE HE CALLED JANUS HIS BROTHER!"
Logan: "I guess you do have a point and he called the girl there his mother"
Virgle: "this is weird"
Patton: "yea but you guys call me dad so that makes sense on the mom thing"
"I guess"
"But what about the brother thing?!"
Logan: "I-"
*At that moment Jan's phone rang and everyone stayed quiet to listen*

Jan's POV
*I was sitting in Cheshire's lap (PLATONIC BROTHER) when my phone rang*
C: "OoooOoO who is it?"
"Just my Boyfr- freind! My friend!"
*I answered the phone*
*Lid, and chesh, wiggled their eyebrows at me but I didn't speak*
"Hey rem rem"
Remus: "Hey Double dee!! Where are you?"
"Oh I'm just... on a walk sorry I got distracted do you need me to come home?"
Remus: "Well you don't haaaaaave to but I wanna watch a movie and I like the way you jump at the jump scares you don't see coming!!"
"Alright then I'll be home in s bit then!"
Remus: "ok JJ!!!"
"Bye Remus"
Remus: "byyyyyyyyyyyyye"
*Call ends*

Lid: "sooooooooooooo that your boyfriend?"
"WHAT???? NO!!!!"
C: "why did you lie to him?"

Romans POV
*Everyone was listening and I mean Everyone Logan said it was rude to spy but he's over here and he stoped BREATHING just to hear them!!!*
Janus: "what?....."
C:"why didn't you tell him you were hanging out with us?"
*Janus gulped and looked away*
*Cheshire I think his name was held his hands on his waist tighter*
C: "Janus" *he said a little harsh*
*Janus mumbled something under his breath
He griped him tighter and I couldn't tell if it was to try and make him feel secure or if he thought Jan would run*
(Logan has to repeat what Janus said as Logan had best hearing out of all of us)
Janus: "I...... I dint want him to know..."
C: "know what that you know us?"
Janus: "no he's..... he's curious he'd want to meet you guys and I'd have to tell him about my past and...... I'm not ready to do that...... not yet at least"
*Finally Cheshire's grip loosened we all let out a sigh of relief and I think Logan took his first breath in a while*
Thomas: "what past is he talking about?"
"We have no idea"
