Ch 17 - Captive

Aria's POV

They brought me to Kingdom, to that big branch they had on Morroco, Bind. They didn't even give me a chance to talk. I was tied then they used me as their lab rat. They started from testing my radianite intake then they tried to find out what my power was. They slashed my hands, giving me scars but I refused to heal myself because I knew that's what they wanted. They starved me, trying to see if I could survive that. I passed out then they would bring me to ER so I could survive. Those went on for two weeks until they found out that I could store radianite power using my crystal.

"Aamir.." his name came in mind.

I remembered him saying that he would hide me from Kingdom and protect me from them. I was foolish, I should've stayed with the protocol to at least be safe under their protection. And maybe I could at least see Aamir from afar everyday.

"I'm so stupid.."

They took me to another building. The female scientists took me with them and they put on suit for me. It was a suit that looked like Viper's but there were also thin clothing around it as if they were dolling me with a dress.

"I'm sorry, but at least you'll look beautiful in these!"

Crazy scientists. On top of that, they found my scarf and was about to take them away.

"the scarf.." I called with a very weak voice.

"oh this?"

"I won't fight back.. at least let me have that.." I pleaded as my eyes faded.

"sure! It has the same color as you suit! It's going to be beautiful seeing this float around!" she said cheerfully.

They let me have it as they wrapped the scarf around my neck. As I promised, I didn't fight back and let them did anything they wanted with me. They took me to a big room with a big tube in it. It was tall as well. From the floor to the ceiling. They put me in there and released the ties that were holding my hands tightly. They connected my back with some kind of wirings to monitor my vitals. Then, they sealed the tube as the tube itself started to be filled with water.

"oh.. they're gonna drown me.." I said as I sat there.

It was an empty tube. Just me and the water. I didn't know what kind of liquid that they were filling the tube in. It started filling that my body started to float.

"I'm.. not running out of breath?"

I held my breath but if felt like oxygen was filling up my lung. But in return, I couldn't talk at all because I would probably die from drowning for real if I let my mouth open. The tube was finally full and they all looked pleased. They were talking but I couldn't hear them at all. Suddenly, the color of the water changed into transparent blue, they were adding some kind of drug or something.

"ukh!"

No, it was radianite. They were trying to choke me with radianite. I could feel the power getting into me but then I felt nauseous because it was too much power getting into my body. I had to release it before I explode.

"this is not how I die. I will see him again,"

Because of the overflow, I couldn't control myself that the tube was starting to be filled crystals that were growing slowly. They maintained the power that the crystals wouldn't overgrow and probably destroy the tube. Oh, they wanted to use my crystals to store the radianite power. I became a machine that would process the raw radianite into power supply. So that's how it was. I became a battery. I hate Kingdom.

After three months, somebody forgot to change the power calculating system that they hurted me. The power was uncontrollable that there was an explosion outside, because of me who couldn't process the power. That was too much for me. The electricity went down for an entire day and that actually suffocated me. Everyone was panicking but they somehow managed to get it under control. It was so painful.
