The Enchanted Glades

Thunder roared in the skies of The Enchanted Glades, rain pours heavily on the region, buildings and houses crumbling from the strayed spells blasted, the cries and screams of the inhabitants filled the night.

“HURRY!! COME ON!! WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE THE PLACE IS GONNA BE SURROUNDED OF FUNGUSES!!”

The people started running faster, to the escape route the Glade warriors made.
“WATCH OUT!!!”

A stray spell hit the giant tree and started to fall onto the people below. Some of them ran as fast as there legs could take them, some were frozen with fear and didn’t move an inch, as their lives flashed before their eyes, they closed their eyes waiting for death, but it didn’t happen. They opened their eyes and saw---

“RUBY!!!”

Ruby blasts the giant tree turning it to bits and pieces, Ruby turns around and smiles at them.

“Hahaha hey there, you all thought you were gonna die huh? Well not on my watch your not hahahaha”

The fairies, nymphs, dwarves, and all of the inhabitants of the Gales cheered and applauded him.

“Now I know what he did was impressive and all but we are still under attacked and you all are needed to be evacuated”

The Captain of the Glade Warriors Jerome stated as he flew down. Ruby smiled and told the people-

“Yes he is correct now off you all go”

As everyone continues on evacuating Ruby went to Jerome and asked him about the situation.

“Sir we have evacuated almost everyone, these people here are part of 1 or 2 of the last batches of evacuates. There are heavy casualties, and multiple injured, the exact numbers on how many are still unknown sir.”

*tsk* “have you asked for backup from the neighboring regions”

“yes sir we have, we sent 6 runners to other regions but currently no avail”

“not even Tourmaline?”

“no sir not even Lord Tourmaline”

“Dammit”

Now quick interruption here by the narrator you all must have lots of questions, so let me give you a FLASHBACCKKKK

FLASHBACK

It was a bright and sunny day here in the Enchanted Glades, flowers are blooming, birds are chirping, the children are playing, and the Glades inhabitants are going up and about their daily lives.

Ruby the Red Guardian and Guardian of the Enchanted Glades is inside his office with mountains of paperwork, literally mountains of paperwork, he sighed and looked over the papers again.

“okaayy…. The harvests this month are okay even with the sickness around its okay, good next…. more immigrants from shimmervile because of the ongoing war?? COME ON!! Welp looks like the builders are going to be busy and more paperwork incoming *sigh* next….. the school funds…. Currency stuffs…. Aannddd huh…. The flying sickness and the report of Topaz missing……huh…….. wonder how she’s doing? *frowns* I wonder how Azura Is feeling about the news?”

Ruby looks outside his window, Topaz is a good friend, always smiling, cheerful, optimistic and very supportive. Ruby met Topaz in their apprenticeship as future guardians, from the moment he saw her he knew she was gonna be everybody's favourite fairy, mmmmm funny actually the first time he saw her she was already friends with the top 1 in academics and spell casting Azura. Ruby frowns, Azura the brightest fairy he has ever known well she may not be the strongest fairy she is the smartest. He knows she and Topaz have a strong friendship, since she and her met the first day in their apprenticeship, the moment they first had their first conversation they clicked together like pieces on a puzzle and they never separated since, he wonders how she's feeling right now devastated, hurt, angry?? Maybe he should send her a letter? Or ask her out? Nope nope asking her out is a nonono like she's probably busy and all he should just stick with the letters yeah letters--- maybe send her a gift with it, it wouldn’t look creepy or weird right?
