20|The End

The sun was shining brightly through the window of the small bedroom, waking the two boys up from their sleep. They opened their eyes, and exchanged a gentle smile, both of them feeling slightly awkward yet satisfied after the night before. They had finally come to terms with their feelings for each other and finally acted upon them, and neither of them knew what to expect from here on out.

"Hey," Mark greeted the tan boy with a warm smile as he hesitantly reached out and intertwined their hands, and it was as if a spark had ignited between them. 

"Hey," Donghyuck replied flirtishly. "Last night was amazing" He announced, refusing to break their eye contact.

"Yeah, it was" Mark fiddled with Donghyucks fingers as they both smiled at each other once more, their hearts beating faster as they looked into each other's eyes. There was no need to exchange any more words, their silence and longing stares spoke volumes of what was in their heart. They rose up and shared a soft kiss, their lips barely touching. They embraced each other, feeling the warmth of their skin and the comfort of their embrace. They lingered at the moment, not wanting it to end.

However, reality kicked in when a loud knock could be heard at the door, the two boys quickly escaped from each other's embrace as they looked towards the door in panic. "Wakey wakey! Breakfast is ready, hurry before it finishes!" Taeyong yelled from the other side of the door, the two boys sighed in relief as yelling was all their leader did as his footsteps faded into the distance.

Finally, they got up and proceeded to get dressed, not wanting to be late for breakfast. "So are we going to tell them?" Donghyuck asked as he pulled his shirt off the floor.

Mark paused what he was doing as he contemplated the tan boy's question. It's not like their members would react negatively if they found out, Mark only wanted to enjoy what they had a little longer before they were bombarded with the 'when, where and whys.' "...Nah, let's wait a little more" he smiled at the younger boy. 

'Do I really want to be someone's little secret?' Donghyuck questioned himself. Instead of concern, the idea excited the tan boy. Now that their feelings were mutual, sneaking around with Mark and messing about when no one was looking seemed hot. Although they've done it before, it was different this time because love was involved. Donghyuck looked over to Mark with sparkles in his eyes. "It'll be our little secret" he winked.

"Our little secret" Mark agreed. Intertwining his fingers with the tan boy, they made their way down the stairs, remembering to let go once they were greeted by their members who were already sitting around the table having breakfast. Slothful good mornings were exchanged as the two sat across from each other. They sat down and joined in the conversation, laughing and joking with their friends as if nothing had happened. But in reality, they were stealing glances at each other in between bites, their gentle stares lingering longer than they should.

After breakfast, they said their goodbyes and hugged their friends as some of them head off to their individual scheduling. From afar, Taeil could sense the change between the two boys. They seemed a lot closer than before. Although he had many questions, he was just relieved they sorted out their differences. The eldest of the group decided to not intrude in their relationship and rather wait for them to come to him when they were ready.

Taeil, Jungwoo, Mark, and Donghyuck were the only three without any schedules, usually, this would be daunting for Mark and Donghyuck however, this time it felt like bliss. This only meant more time they could spend together.

The two boys hurriedly walked back to Mark's bedroom, hand in hand, the sun setting in the background. They shut the door behind them and, for a moment, all that was heard was their gentle breathing.

They stood in the middle of the room, looking into each other's eyes, and with a gentle touch, their lips met in a lingering and impassioned kiss. In a transformative embrace, they discovered a love that embraced every aspect of their being. Free from judgment, the two boys were excited to embark on a journey of mutual growth, nurturing their love with compassion, trust, and unwavering support. Hand in hand, they embraced the future, knowing they had found their soulmate, armed with a love that would stand the test of time.

They knew that, no matter what, they were in love and would always be together.
