As soon as All Might announced the fight was over, Nori brought her fingers to her ear to check on her teammate.
-Greeny? Greeny!
Not hearing any response, the girl looked over the giant hole, and saw Deku on the floor, lying.
-Izuku!
Panicking, Nori teleported down to the boy, kneeling in front of him.
-Ohmy god, are you okay?! She screamed, shaking the motionless boy.
She looked up to the blond, who was contemplating the scene with stupefaction.
-You're crazy! Nori shot at him.
I can't believe I wanted to be friends with him! He practically killed Greeny!
Little robots holding a stretcher came in, along with All Might. They took Midoriya and left to Recovery Girl's office. Nori followed them, and glanced a final time at Bakugo with hostility.☻☻☻
-Well, despite the results, All Might analysed, the MVP of this exercise is Young Iida!
Standing beside the person she now hated, Nori looked at the floor. She was happy for Iida, but she knew her and her team did a horrible job in the exercise.
-Shouldn't it be one of the heroes instead, Frog-Girl asked, since they're the winners?
-Mm! Valid question, their teacher remarked. Why didn't I choose one of those two? Who has a guess?
A black-haired girl with a ponytail raised her hand.
-Sir! I can tell you why! Iida embraced this challenge. He was the only one who truly adapted to his assigned role. I'll explain. Bakugo's judgement was clouded by a personal grudge against Midoriya. As you pointed out earlier, lunching a large scale attack indoors was a foolish move. It could have been disastrous.
At the statement, Nori could feel Bakugo's fist clench. He had it coming. If he's so smart, he wouldn't have done that.
-Similarly, Midoriya's plan was also poorly thought out, she continued, considering the amount of damage that he received. He rendered himself helpless. Not smart.
I guess it's my turn now...
-As for Yoshike, she wasn't all that bad, but she let her guard down mid-battle, causing Iida to notice her. Also, she lost her capture tape, and that alone was a considerable mistake, which lead to Midoriya's reckless plan.
I hadn't thought about it in the heat of battle, but she's right. As a hero, I can't say «I'll do better next time». This was a flat out fail.
-Iida had a strategy, and never lost sight of his mission to protect the dummy weapon, even if he got captured in the end. Technically the hero team won, yes, but they took advantage of the fact this was training. They didn't respect the spirit of the trial.
-Yes... All Might admitted. Well, you overlooked a few things. Young Iida could have relaxed a little bit in the exercise. But... otherwise, you nailed it!
Like that is a worthy argument. Sorry All Might, but you're not much of a comfort right now.
-Oneshould always start with the basicsand devote themselves wholeheartedly to learning. Yaoyorozu explained. That's the only way to become a top hero.
After that, everything went smoothly, even if anything could be smooth compared to that first battle. Finally, it was the end of the exercise. All Might blowedhis whistle.
-That's a wrap! Super work. You really stepped up to the plate. And we didn't have any major injuries, except for Midoriya. You should be proud. Excellent first day of training, all around!
-It's nice to have some encouraging words after our homeroom class, Frog-Girl spoke. Mr. Aizawa was kind of a buzzkill.
-I'm happy to bring such staggering positivity to my alma matter! The teacher beamed. That's all for now, folks. I should go and check on Young Midoriya's progress! Now watch how a pro exits. Like you got somewhere to be!
And just like that, All Might was already gone under the gasps his students.☻☻☻
They spent the rest of the day analysing the morning's battles. Bakugo didn't speak a word, and Nori didn't want him to. I mean, attacking someone like that is nothing like what a hero would do! As soon as class was over, the blond stepped up and left. The others tried to convince him to stay to see Izuku, but he didn't listen. Nori just looked away. Seconds later, the boy in question arrived. Nori immediately teleported to him.
-Greeny! Are you okay!?
-Y-yeah, I am, he answered.
She was soon pushed away by the other students complimenting and introducing themselves to him. He looked over at Bakugo's desk, who was right next to Nori's.
-Where's Kacchan? He asked.
-We tried to stop him from leaving, Uraraka told him. But he wouldn't listen. You just missed him.
In a hurry, Midoriya left. Through the window, Nori could see him catch up on Kastuki. A whole scene played down there. Is sparky crying?... She saw All Might run up to them, but it seemed it had already been settled. Nobody's bad. Not even Sparky. Maybe by being friends with him, I could bring out that good side of him. She knew it would be hard, but it was worth trying.Good night/day!
