Who is a role model? A role model is that person you admire, that person you want to be like and you also follow the person's way of life. At times you might be asked, "who is your role model"? Simple and clear your role model is that person you admire and want to be like.

Some people may say my role model is my aunt, my uncle, my mother e.t.c, but be careful when choosing your role model to choose the good not bad. Your mentor is not doing you a favor but you are the one doing yourself a favor and also building your future to be bright by following their positive footsteps. You cannot afford to pay for the wisdom, for the things they impact in you. Therefore, when going to visit them or even around them buy them something like gifts, make them feel appreciated. Never turn your back on them when you succeed in life. Even if you can't afford to buy something presentable, just make them feel appreciated for having them as mentors.

A good role model is someone who is always positive, confidential, and gentle in themselves. Everyone likes a person who is happy with their achievement but continues to strive for bigger and better objectives.

We have two kinds of mentorship which are:

· Negative mentorship

· Positive mentorship

1. NEGATIVE MENTORSHIP: This is when the person you admire, the person you want to be like is a mirror of bad things (behavior, way of life) e.t.c.

2. POSITIVE MENTORSHIP: This is when the person you admire is a mirror of a good, successful personality, good leadership, and perfect status.

If your role model is a mirror of bad definitely you will be like him/ her. When choosing a role model, you choose with all carefulness. Before a person chooses a role model there must be some positive or negative behavior or way of life you admire. A person cannot just say this person is my role model there must be something attached to it.

Meanwhile, for us as a youth being role models to others we must live an exemplary life for others to see and live by. The way you dress is the way you will be addressed. When people are falling try to cheer them up, support people in need.

Role models should be good and not bad. The impact on others.
