Tony's POV:
Tony was in his lab, alone for once. His mind focused on the bracelet in front of him, identical to the one you always wear, the difference is this one has a fully equipped suit in it. After seeing your original suit he wanted to make sure you were always going to have the ability to protect yourself. It started out as a fun project so Tony could push himself to be at the same level as you when it came to nanotechnology, but quickly evolved into Tony wanting to make sure you had a suit. He wasn't particularly fond of the idea of you becoming an Avenger, but knowing you, you would never back down if something threatened anybody in the tower.
Tony quickly fell in love with your want to protect everybody around you, and in such a flawless manner as well. Tony was completely in love with you before he found out you were his soulmate, and the idea of keeping you until the end of time, is even better than he could have imagined. His fingered ran over his collarbone, where your words once were, now replaced by your initials, he was happy.
A soft knock at the door brought him out from his thoughts, and when he looked up, his eyes met Peppers. Setting down his tools, he motioned for her to come in.
"I saw you and (y/n) leaving the party last night. Is there maybe something I should know?" She questioned, sitting across from Tony at his work bench.
Tony Scoffed, "Why, Pepper, you know I don't kiss and tell."
"Oh! So there was kissing!" She said, pointing a finger in his direction.
"Yes, and I was good, I promise," He laughed, "Turns out, she's my soulmate."
Pepper smirked, crossing one leg over the other, "Oh, I know that. I just wanted to see if you were going to gush over her. Which you totally are by the way."
"You knew?"
"Of course I knew. The day of her interview, you want to know what was written on her wrist? Today is going to be a horrible day. You said that, do you remember? You were so pissed off at the idea we were going to hire extra help."
Tony laughed at the thought, he truly wasn't excited at all for that morning. He had told Pepper multiple times to cancel all of the interviews, but she stood her ground and told Tony she had a good feeling about the day. Somehow, Pepper is always right, and he feels the exact same way about you.
"I'm glad I couldn't talk you into canceling those interviews."
"Me too, Tony. Now, tell me what you're working on."
"No can do, doesn't Happy need you for something? Or maybe your fiancé? You should take the day off, go home."
Pepper laughed, "Fine, I'll take a hint, but don't you spend all day up here. Besides, I hear (y/n) is making lasagna for dinner tonight. Thor can't stop talking about it."
"It really is amazing, will you be joining for dinner tonight?"
Pepper shook her head, "As much as I would love too, James and I have a date," She stood and smoothed out her dress, "And unless you have anything business related for me, I should head home."
"I do have one thing, has Happy informed you on how everything is going with the new Avengers campus? We getting a little cramped in here."
"Everything is running along for moving day, don't you worry."
Tony nodded, and with that Pepper made her way from the lab. With the final touches completed on your bracelet, he smiled at his work, and made last minute adjustments to the blueprints.
