(Picture the description of events to the tune and style of the video above. I'm guessing it takes place all in the span of six months after last chapter. If something is off, blame blizzard for not giving a clear timeline.)
Dark, rumbling clouds filled the sky as the pallbearers escorted the casket. Reinhardt, Torbojorn, along with his daughter Brigitte, Sojourner, Pharah, Angela, Lena, (Y/N) and others, dressed in their formals, stood by the waiting grave. As the coffin reached the empty grave, the honor guards raised their rifles and fired their salute. The agents all raised their hands in salute to the heart of Overwatch; Jack Morrison. No cameras or crowds for this, private event with the public service being held two days before. The body was never retrieved, thought to have been blown away in the blast; empty casket. The headstone was supposed to be it but Petras pushed for something to be put down six feet under.
As the coffin was lowered, Lena and (Y/N) subtlety held the others hand. Ahead in the distance, (Y/N) spots a lone figure by a tree but with a blink, the shape disappeared. The returned outlaw, Jesse McCree, watched from afar as the service ended and the team began to walk away.
In Rio de Janeiro, the Megacorporation, Vishkar, breaks ground for their new facility and begins to redevelop large portions of the city. Outside of the ceremony and champagne popping, security pushes back the citizen protestors of the project.
To the city on the water, Venice, a former employee turned informant of the deceased Antonio Bartalotti, is struck down. They lay dead on the ground of the board room, that was thought to be a private and secure location. From a distance, the assassin, Widowmaker walks away from her vantage point with another betrayer of Talon; silenced.
Above the world, onboard the international space station, Dr.Siebren de Kuiper's being changes in a flash. As he was scrambling to save the experiment, a small black hole formed in front of him. Though only exposed to a flash of it's power, the doctor let out a scream as his and the room's gravity fluctuated, sending everything flying around.
Deep underground of H.S.I., one containment cell remains guarded by rifles and turrets. Inside rests the now disarmed Akande Ogundimu; Doomfist. He sits on his bed, one hand over fist, covering his mouth as he stares at the clipping on the wall.
Atlas News: Doomfist Defeated!
He waits for his freedom. A chance to retake what was stolen; and a rematch.
On the rumbling streets of King's Row, hundreds of Omnics walk towards the power plant. Riot officers keep the howling and aggressive people of the city at bay as they enter their new home; the loosely omnic safe haven known as The Underworld.
Across the snowy Antarctic Polar desert, Ecopoint: Antarctica base lies dormant. No communication to the outside world, leaves the frozen scientists in cryo sleep. The lone pod with an active heart monitor reads, Dr. Mei-Ling Zhou.
Right to the heart of Mother Russia, Volskaya industries begin to draw up plans and reopen the factory floors to begin the construction of their new wave of mechs.
In the cold lands of Siberia, into a crowded gymnasium filled with onlookers, trainers and press, a new champion is being made. A mountain of a woman, Aleksandra Zaryanova, lifts her new record of 425 KG and the crowd goes wild. She resets the bar and flexes for the cameras.
