In a small village surrounded by a dark forest that had a bad reputation, there were many legends. It was forbidden for people to go in, the legend goes that things that are not human are out there and prey on humans. Constantly people have been disappearing without a trace.

A young girl who had just turned 20 was with the one she loved so dearly, he too loved her more than anything. They walked hand in hand laughing enjoying each other's company. She forgot about the village rule and went with him into the forest. They were observing the big trees, flowers of every color, the birds flying freely it looked beautiful she didn't understand why it had a horrible background when it was completely the opposite. She questioned why it was called the dark forest when it looked enchanted.

He holds her in his arms "I love you" he says she smiles finally being happy and not being forced to follow a marriage she didn't want all she wanted was to marry someone she loved and have a career. Before she can answer he talked and her eyes widened in fright "I'm sorry" he whispered. She saw his eyes were glowing and he kisses her one last time before she disappears in his hands. That was the last time she was ever seen. Nobody knew a thing everyone had forgotten about her just like the others before her.

10 years later

You were in your room sitting by the window looking at the picture frame. It was a family portrait you were smiling and set it in place. You had finished organizing your room changing the things around. You liked changing things because like that you wouldn't feel bored seeing the same thing all over. You stand up, fix your dress, and walk back to see how your room looks. You were wearing a vintage plaid dress that's what you mostly wore since you were a child they'd dress you like that.

In the village, all the women were to wear dresses but times were changing so now jeans and shorter skirts were being worn instead of long skirts. In the city is where everything was advanced there were more opportunities than in the village but one needed money to live in the city. It was more expensive than living in the village a rural area but at least it was quiet and one gets to enjoy nature.

"Y/n someone is here!" Your mother screams you quickly get your side bag and head downstairs. You see your best friend waiting for you smiling as he stood beside your mother looking like a good boy which he wasn't. "We'll be heading to school now come on Y/n" you kiss your mother's cheek and walk behind him. "Be careful you two" he nods and once the door closes he stopped acting. "Y/n your mom is scary" you smile "I know once she finds out the type a guy you are you'll never see me again she would forbid me from seeing you."

"I'm not a bad person" you chuckle in disbelief "Sure you're not Jimin" he smiles. "Okay, what do I do that makes me a bad person?" You stop walking and make a thinking gesture. He stared at you filled with curiosity wondering what you would say. "Oh sleeping with most of the girls in our school" you walk quicker leaving him behind. He catches up "Okay I can't defend myself" you continue walking.

The school you went to wasn't big it was small contained a few classrooms and not a lot of students attended some would work while others were getting married and having families. Your father didn't want you marrying some random guy and have kids he wanted you to graduate from a good school and become someone successful or do something you wanted so all you did was study.

You were 18 while Jimin was 19 you two were close friends because of his father being business partners with your father. Jimin was very flirty. The type to make you get flustered he liked seeing the way girls would react when they would see him or simply by him smiling at them they would start turning red.

Not everyone had the chance to be with him he wasn't picky but if you were lucky you'd be with him and have a fun night with him. He wasn't the type to settle in a long-term relationship he just needed to satisfy his needs well his hunger. One thing for sure he'd always tell the lucky girl to not expect anything he would be sincere with them and they wouldn't care they were willing to be used by him. You found it unbelievable but he just wouldn't change as much as you would try to convince him he just doesn't want to.

He never really told you why he was like that and you didn't ask. Most of the girls catch feelings and come to you. They are always asking you to help them but you just couldn't because you already knew how he was and he had told them. Apart from having that side to you he was very funny and caring he would always be there to protect you the majority of his friends were like him but he'd always make sure you wouldn't be used by any of them he wanted the best for you. For you to find the one and live happily not to get heartbroken by some random boys that be showing off money when it's their father's.

You two get to school you take your seat but see there are more empty seats. You see it's fewer people in the classroom there were fewer girls. You heard people talking amongst themselves about how there's someone taking people's souls. You were so confused and thought how that was even possible. "The powerful witch that lives in the forest it must be her she takes the souls to keep her young and beautiful self."

Jimin was listening too he'd never been in the forest that was the only thing he was afraid of while for you the forest just made you curious but you wouldn't go there. You then remember reading an article from the library that 10 to 15 years ago there was a witch hunt. The village was out to hunt and kill the witches and vampires once and for all they ended up finding supposedly three. Two witches and a vampire were executed and burned.

Ever since then, disappearances weren't common anymore but it was starting again. "Hey, do you think the legend is true? Do you think witches and vampires exist?" You ask Jimin and he stops looking worried he had an expressionless face.

"Probably we don't know what is beyond the forest but I don't think they exist. It's just a legend no need to worry" you weren't sure whether to believe him since he was afraid of hearing such things he probably was comforting you so you wouldn't overthink. The teacher walks in and you all stand up to greet him the lesson started he was teaching you all how to decipher an old letter.

You already knew how to do it in your free time you'd go to the library to study or read random books while Jimin would be sleeping with someone new if not he'd join you. Surprisingly he was smart he knew a lot and when he wouldn't be fucking someone he'd teach you new things that you wanted to know or simple things that you needed to know to survive. It was weird how you never saw him studying if he'd go with you your nose would be in the book while he just slept or drew he just kept you company.
