Today its different for you. Your body heat is high, nose runny, eyes heavy and an itchy throat. Guess — youre sick and got yourself a fever before Valentine's day. It all started at night when you cold sweated in your sleep. Thinking that its because of your blanket since it traps your body heat, you toss it at your side and slept for the night ignoring the signs that youre sick.

At this rate you decided to have a bath to cool yourself down while Reno is out at work. Finding the cough syrup in the kitchen's cabinet is successful however its way pass the expiry date and youre left with painkillers.

Laying on the couch and wrapping yourself with your thick blanket even thou youre wearing a sweater. Silently, you debating whether to call Reno or not. You thought of giving him a call to get something for you and tell him youre sick after but at the same time — you dont want to disturb him at work.

You frustratedly groaned to only get a headache. Not few later, a knock came at the door as it opens followed by a voice, Reno's voice to be precise. "Baby~ Im home! Got a day off for 3 days so we can celebrate Valentine's day~", Reno announced. Did the gods heard your prayer or its just Reno miraculously heard your crying for help coming from your head? Neither.

"Thank god! Youre home!", you said in relief as you bring your weak body to give him a hug. It doesnt took Reno long to notice your body heat is too warm. Warm may not be the suitable word for it: Hot. He can even feel it on his bare chest. "Hey. Are you okay? Why are you hot?", Reno's hands then move up to your forehead instictly that his palm then feel how hot you are.

"Hey hey. Why are you wearing this? This aint appropriate to wear when youre sick!", Reno softly scolds. Weird. The Reno we knew cant be this soft right? Then he guides you back to the couch. "Y'know what...wait here.", Reno softly push your shoulders to signalised you to lay down. Reno exited the house. Again.

After a few moments of you daydreaming, Reno came back with a bag and drop it at your side as he kneeled down on the floor next to the couch. "Rise your arms up for me. It'll take awhile and i promise i'll respectfully touch you!", he said. You slowly raise your arms up. What's the point in being stubborn? Youre sick and health comes first! Reno then took off your sweater and softly tugging at the ends and helps you to wear a white tank top.

"Did you take a shower when i aint here?", be questioned. "I did and i tried looking for some meds too.", you replied. "Ahh I see. I'll find something for you to eat before taking some meds to help with your fever. Dont. Move. I'll do the remaining shit in the house. So just watch tv or lay down or just sit still and look pretty.", he babbled. You had to admit, he's a sweetheart despite his usual attitude.

The day went on when Reno serves you snacks and meals and also gives you your needs like a plushie or when you cant reach the tv remote he would take it and place it next to you. When you need affection, he will be there and placed a kiss on your forehead or at the side of your head if youre dizzy, your cheek if you coughed and your neck if its is aching and your nose everytime you sneezed. He would also unconciously wipe off your snot if youre taking a nap that's running down your nose with his bare fingers.

After getting you all your needs he cuddles with you, not caring if he gets a fever from you. "Hey, (Y/n). How are you feeling now?", he questioned. "Slowly getting better. Thanm you, Reno.", you thanked him. "Anytime baby. I love you so much", he whispered and softly kissed your lips. Even if he fell sick because of it he's positive that you'll take care of him too. When he pulled away his palm made its way to your heated cheek, his thumb rubbing on it. "There~ All better", he smiled and cuddled you close. Valentine's day date can wait after all.
