For as long as he could remember, Natsu could always hear another voice inside his head telling him things that he didn't know but were true. Or the voice would just talk for no other reason than to just be heard. For example, the voice had said that the guild could help him hide from the others in the guild if he only asked. At first, he was hesitant to listen, but with time being against him he whispered to the wall beside him to hide him from those that were trying to look for him. He was stunned to find that the building created a door with stairs, once he had shut the door it disappeared and he just followed the stairs which led him to the watchtower. It soon became his place to observe how the guild acted and interacted with others, he could listen to all the conversations that interested him. It helped him learn about things the guild members were planning on who and he would ask the guild to help those discretely. Just as it had done for him, well just as he had asked the guild to do for him when he listened to the voice.

The voice inside his head would tell him that they wanted to beat him into submission and get rid of him for the power that they feared, especially since they knew he was a demon. At first, Natsu didn't believe the voice, but when he listened to the members of the guild talk about their plans to do just as the voice told him Natsu knew he would start to listen to the voice more often.

Natsu didn't believe he was a demon because he was just Natsu Dragneel. The voice, which he just began to call Chaos inside his mind, told him that he needed to be stronger than them so that they couldn't use his powers and they would not be able to force him into any type of submission. He agreed and began to work on training more with his magic, which he quickly began to become one of the strongest members of Fairy Tail. One of the main reasons why he began to train was so he could impress Igneel with how hard he had trained to become as strong as he was.

His eyes glance around the guild below him to see that some of the wizards in the guild who didn't have offensive or defensive powers had a wand. Those wands were also used by a different type of wizard, those who have magic but can't use it without something to direct the magic out. Wizards and witches, Chaos called them, would get offended when mages of his kind would use those wands. Natsu wondered why that was, so when he was able to leave the castle he went around to ask about it.

Wizards found it insulting that mages who could produce magic of their own would use the wands that they made to help them focus their magic. A wand to a wizard or a witch was an important part of them, almost as if it were a part of their body, and to see a mage use a wand so carelessly and recklessly made them angry. Natsu agreed with the wizards and had begun to offer some of the wood and some other things that the mages wouldn't be able to collect as easily as he would be able to, especially when most of the wizards in the guild would end up having to get a new wand every few months at least. They were using up supplies that they didn't even need since if they just trained their magic more they could use their magic without a wand. Or perhaps, what a wizard truly needed was something sturdier, like those staffs that Mystogan has.

Natsu started small, sending huge trunks of trees that he knew had magical properties along with a book that explains more about the trees he took it from. As well as some etherion stones and any other magic crystals he would find an abundance of.

He got an angry letter from a wandmaker that he hadn't properly taken the wood from the tree, but they were very happy about the crystals he had sent. When Natsu sent a letter back asking how he should obtain the wood, the maker was surprised but happy to help and explained to him how it was to be done. Chaos hummed inside his mind when Natsu received the correct information on how to gather the wood and seeds from the tree. All knowledge is good knowledge, Chaos would say to him.

First, Natsu had to spread his magic around the tree to allow it to sense his aura, if there were no physical signs that the tree refused his proposal, then he would use a slicing spell to remove a part of the tree so that the tree wouldn't have to endure the pain of doing it the non-magical way. Though, Chaos always warned him to make sure his magic wasn't hot enough to hurt the tree, so Natsu always made sure that his magic was as warm as a summer's day.
