Chapter 30: Who Was It?

Arthit and Kongpob went back home before dinner as the whole family were waiting for them to have dinner together. The table was already set with food. "You both are back home. Come and sit. We will have our dinner first then you both can go and rest. I'm sure you both are very tired." Tina said when saw Arthit and Kongpob walking towards the dining hall. Arthit and Kongpob sat down to join the rest. Everyone was happily talking about their day while enjoying their meal but Arthit kept thinking about the sound he heard. After dinner Arthit excused himself and went to their room first while Kongpob stayed back to help Tina to clean the table and to do the dishes. The moment Arthit entered the room he took his phone to give Knot a call. "Hey Arthit, how's everything at your in-laws place?" "Every one is very sweet and they accepted me as their son." Arthit told everything about Kongpob's family but Knot knew there is something bothering his friend. "What is it that you really want to tell me Arthit. I know you didn't call me just to tell me this ryte." "Yes Knot, there is something else that I want to tell you. I think there is someone following us here. I heard camera  sound when only the  both of us went out. I don't mind if anything happens to me but I don't want to drag Kongpob and his family in this. Will you please help me look into this Knot and let's keep this between us for now. Don't even tell Kongpob about this, I don't want him to worry." "You don't worry Arthit, I will look into these but you have to help me too. Don't go out much and if you do have to then do your best to protect yourself and your family there. You will be back in another 2 days right. I will update you about this then. For now enjoy your time with your family. Take care my friend." " Thank you Knot. I will see you once I'm back." 

  Arthit was resting his head on the bed's headrest when Kongpob came to the room. Arthit was deep in his thought that he didn't even feel Kong's presence in the room. Kongpob sat on the bed and moved nearer to Arthit before hugging the latter. Arthit was startled with the sudden hug and opened his eyes. Kongpob was hugging him like a koala. Just by looking at him all his worries were no longer important to him. "Are you tired love?" Kongpob didn't answer but just shook his head and looked up to face Arthit. "Is something bothering you baby. You are not yourself since the time we came back. Did something happen or did I do anything?" Kongpob knew something was not right with Arthit from the moment they came back but he waited till there were only two of them to ask him. "No darling, everything is ok. I'm just tired I guess." Arthit smiled trying to hide his worried expression but failed badly as he couldn't hide anything from Kongpob anymore. "I know you are lying baby but if you don't want to share with me then it's ok. Even if I don't know what is happening or what you are going through I can still feel that you are worried and I'm going to be here with you holding your hand and hugging you like this." Arthit hugged him tightly. "Thank you for being with me love. You are my biggest strength and my safest place. I'm sorry for worrying you love. I will tell you once the time comes but for now trust me on this and don't worry okay." Kongpob returned the hug and slept that way.

The next day, both of them didn't talk about what happened the night before. Kongpob didn't ask Arthit anything because he trust him more than he trust himself and he knows Arthit always does what is best for them. "Are you both going out today?" Tina asked Arthit who was watching TV in the hall with his father-in-law. They were watching k-drama Goblin and were soo into the drama that they didn't hear Tina. Tina saw that she was not getting any response from Arthit and tapped the latter's shoulder only to see him crying but what shocked her was not Arthit crying but her husband was also wiping his tears and sniffling softly. "Darling, are you crying watching a drama?" Tina walked towards her husband who was busy wiping off his tears and acting as if nothing happened. Kongpob and his sisters who was at the kitchen came after hearing Tina's loud teasing voice. "No.. I'm not crying.. who cries watching drama.. right Arthit." Arthit nodded his head without turning to hide the embarrassment in his eyes. "I heard you sniffling dear. When I asked you to watch the same drama with me you told me you never watch dramas but look at you now. Watching drama and even crying just because your son-in-law asked you to watch it." "Mae, I didn't ask por to watch this naa it was por whom wanted to watch and asked me to give him company." Arthit told the truth while gaining a glare from his father-in-law. "Look at this father-son duo. Looks like my brother here is no longer the favorite son for my father since he has a new son." Jenny said while doing a fake pitying expression and hugging Kongpob. Kongpob played along and hugged her back as if he was sad. "Love, don't be sad naa." Arthit immediately stood up from his place and went to Kongpob. Everyone was watching Arthit now trying to console the fake sad Kongpob. "You have Arthit in you palm Kong. You just acted like you are sad and look at him begging you to not be sad." Godji said while shaking her head at her brother and brother-in-law. Kongpob showed his tongue to tease his sister before pulling Arthit into a hug. Everyone was teasing each other and talking when Krekkrai asked them to be quiet so that he can continue watching his drama.

Arthit and Kongpob spent the entire day at home as Kongpob wanted to spend more time with his family and Arthit was happy with that as he won't have to deal with anyone outside if there is really someone following them. Tomorrow will be the last day they will be spending home before both of them leave to work. That night when everyone was asleep even Arthit and Kongpob was sleeping, Arthit's phone rang from the side stand. Arthit sleepily took the phone and saw that it was 4.35am and it was Knot calling him. He quickly answered the call and asked Knot to hold on in the line and slowly got of from the bed without waking Kong up. "Yes Knot. Why are you calling me at this time. Is something wrong?" Arthit heard Knot sighing in the other end of the line. "Knot what is it?" Knot's voice was a indication that this is not a good news. "Arthit.. I'm sorry my friend but I couldn't stop the person. You were right. There was someone following you both but it did not start from the time you both went to Kongpob's hometown but it started even when you both were here. I only managed to gather this details for now but I couldn't find the details of the person so I don't exactly know who are we dealing with." Arthit was listening to everything and there were so many things running on his mind now but he felt like Knot is not telling him everything. "Knot what else happened. You are not telling me everything." "Arthit listen to me calmly and don't do anything stupid ok." "Just tell what is it." "A picture of you and Kongpob was leaked by the person and .. Kongpob's face is clearly visible since they didn't blur it. Those pictures are trending now. I will send you the link." Arthit didn't know what to do now. All that he feared is happening now. He didn't want any harm to his love but he couldn't keep his love safe. Arthit cut the call and opened the link that Knot sent him. 

"THE RISING STAR IS DATING A GUY. WAS HE MANIPULATED BY THE UNNAMED GUY?"

Arthit read the headline of the news and it was just absurd and it made him angry. He saw the pictures that was attached in the news. One of it was when Arthit sent Kongpob to work and the picture showed both of them kissing in the car but Kongpob's face was not that clear in that picture but the 2nd picture was taken in the café that Kongpob and Arthit went yesterday. It clearly showed Kongpob's face and both of them feeding each other. He just wants to find the person responsible for all this mess and make them pay. He don't know how he is going to tell all this to Kongpob and their family. He was sure this is going to cause an uproar mainly among his fans. He has to decide what to do to protect his love and his family but he has no idea what to do. All that he knows is that he will not let Kongpob go away from his life. He will have to wait till the morning rises to know the new challenges that is gonna cross his way. Will he be ready for it?
