Chapter 17: Second Chance

"Arthit let's go out today. You have been sitting inside the house for the past couple of days. It's night now and less people will be out there so you won't be recognized." Arthit didn't have the slightest interest to go out. He just wanted to stay in and not do anything but Knott had a different plan for him. He has planned this with M and today they will be executing their plan without Arthit and Kongpob's knowledge. But for that Knott has to make sure that Arthit will follow him out tonight and at the other end M is convincing Kongpob to go out. Knott planned to bring them to their most memorable place and make them meet each other so that they will be able to talk heart to heart and solve their problems because they both can't keep going on like this at least not on Knott's watch. Knott kept on pestering Arthit that Arthit gave up and followed him without even asking where they were going. Arthit just wanted to be alone. His mind kept thinking about Kongpob. He wanted to see him and just hug him and never let him away from his grip but Arthit knew it was impossible and will never happen. He never thought he will loose his happiness this fast but this time it felt different. It feels like he lost part of him and that part can never be replaced by someone other than his Love, Kongpob.

On the other hand, M was giving Kongpob all sort of excuses just to bring the guy out. He promised Knott to meet him at the place they had planned at 10.30pm but its already 10.15pm and he still can't get Kong to move from the house. He knew his friend was stubborn and hard to convince but not to this level. When M nearly wanted to give up he got an idea "Looks like Arthit is busking tonight at the same place" M saw the change in Kongpob as he quickly grabbed his phone to which M was sure he wanted to check Arthit's Instagram. so M continued in order to make the perfect lie to his friend "but why didn't he post it in his IG page. If P'Knott didn't text me then I would not have know. Anyways it doesn't matter now since we are not going out and it starts at 10.30pm. It's already late now." M knew Kong. Even if he don't want to meet Arthit, he would still take the chance to see him from far. Not even a minute, he heard Kong mumbling something. "I can't hear you Kong. Stop mumbling and tell me." "Can we go to the busking place. I just want to see him from afar." Like M thought Kong has taken the bait. He asked Kong to get ready and wait for him in the car and he quickly sent a message to Knott. 'P', I have managed to get Kong out of the house. We will be there in another 10 minutes. See you at the busking place P'. M went to the car and drove them both to the busking place where Arthit and Kongpob first talked to each other.

Arthit looked up from the window and saw that they came to same busking place he saw Kongpob for the second time. He got down from the car wearing his cap and mask and walked to the place not waiting for Knott. He recalled soo many good and happy memories that he has in this place. Even though he knew it will not happen but his heart still wished and hoped that he will meet Kongpob here tonight. Knott received a message from M saying that they will be here in 10 minutes. Knott has to prepare everything before they both reach here. He was busy unloading the guitar and the speaker and mic that he didn't realize Arthit was not with him. When he remembered, he tried finding for Arthit until he saw Arthit sitting at the same busking spot. Knott took all the things and quietly set the things behind Arthit. When he was about to finish, he saw M and Kongpob walking towards them and this was the moment he and M has planned and worked for.

Knott gave Arthit's shoulder a small tap and showed him that Kongpob is coming. Arthit was shocked. He didn't think what he wished for will happen. That's when Arthit saw the busking setup behind him. It striked him finally that all this is Knott's plan for him. He couldn't thank his bestfriend for more. "Ai'Thit. This is your chance to prove to Kong that you will always be there for him and clear up your misunderstandings. Sing a song that comes to your mind when you think of him, I'm sure he will feel it too. I will be here supporting you my friend. Su su na" Knott said and left him. Arthit saw Kong approaching him but he acted as if he didn't know Arthit. That broke him but he was not ready to give up this chance his friends made for him. No matter what happens he will make sure Kongpob knows how he really feels.
