Now its time for dinner this is gonna go great
__________________________________Ezra and Kathrine stood in front of the large double doors of the victorian looking manor. He was nervous to do this and the guilt was nearly eating him alive. No no it was eating him alive. And worst of all he's sober. Kathrine looked at him before knocking on the door knowing he wasn't going to do it.
Roman stood at the top of the staircase staring at the door. They were here. He wasn't ready at all. He didn't know how he should act in front of them. And his wife would be there. The wife he cheated on again. She would know. They always know. The anxiety was bubbling inside his stomach and he wanted to throw up. On the outside, he looked the same. Cold hazel eyes, a nice formal outfit, and his hair done neatly. If he looked put together he could be together, right?
Nikolai gave him a thumbs up before opening the door mouth dropping when he saw what Kathrine was wearing. She had on red jeans and a designer sweatshirt with white airforces. Her hair was curled and stopped a little past her shoulder. His eyes went to her lips seeing she was wearing nice brown lipstick.
She gave him a quick scan seeing him wearing grey joggers and a loose-fitted black butler hoodie with black high tops. He cleared his throat finding what to say.
"Aren't you going to invite us in?" Kathrine spoke up raising an eyebrow at him. He blushed nodding his head stepping to the side gesturing them to come in.
Ezra stepped into the house pretending to never have seen the inside before. He was doing good till he glanced at the stairs seeing Roman coming down them. Roman paused looking into Ezra's stormy grey eyes. It was like the time froze and it was just them standing there. At least that's how Ezra felt.
"Dining room is this way." Roman stated nonchalantly as he reached the bottom of the stairs. Ezra flinched a bit at his tone. Was he mad at him? Did he regret it too?
On the inside Roman was fighting himself. He wanted to hug someone for the first time without it being forced. He bit the inside of his cheek showing them to the dining room. He felt someone's gaze on him and he turned his head noticing Ezra looking at his butt. Ezra met his gaze smirking because he noticed Roman's slight limp. Roman quickly looked away trying not to blush.
Ezra felt relief that he wasn't upset with him. Ezra's guilt went away whenever he saw Roman. It was almost worth the risk. And for a human of all beings. They entered the dining room seeing the table having a black and white tablecloth with five empty plates set out with silverware neatly placed on the side along with empty cups by each plate.
Fancy.
Roman sat at the head of the table and gestured for the rest of them to sit. "My wife will be down soon." Roman stated emphasizing on wife as he looked at Ezra who sat by him.
"Well, maybe the husband shouldn't sleep around." Ezra snapped. Being sober is not a good look for him. Shit was he an alcoholic?
Roman glared at him while Nikolai and Kathrine snickered from their seats. "I'm just saying." Ezra grumbled looking at Roman noticing when he's flustered he licks his bottom lip and looks everywhere but the source. Which was always Ezra. He wasn't used to being flustered till he met Ezra.
"So Kathrine I was wondering if you maybe wanted to go on a date?" Nikolai asked struggling to make eye contact with Kathrine who was staring at him. He kept blushing every time she looked at him. Romana and Ezra noticed it right away.
"Sure. This weekend I'm free." Kathrine responded smiling at him. He blushed to the tip of his ears staring at the table.
"So Roman how are you feeling?" Ezra asked randomly when he noticed Roman kept shifting ever so slightly in his seat.
