"In the end, as we fade into the night."

I'm leaving soon
And I'm packing my bags.
I've got sweaters like warm hugs,
First aid kits filled with bandages
To stop any bleeding,
I've got shoes and pepper spray
To protect I hope

I'm leaving to a lovely place
With a small town
That has magic in store for me
I'll fly with the birds
And grow cat ears and a tail
And hunt my once friends in the sky

The towns surrounded by meadows
With purple flowers
And red roses that have a strong scent
I've only gotten close to the smell
In my dreams on dark nights
Bringing a bunch of flowers to my nose
I feel my eyes flutter and
I
Fall
To
The
Ground.

I wake up in Neverland
I've always wanted to go and now I'm here in mermaid cove with Wendy

She's quite jealous that I am staying forever and she must leave in a few days
I tell her she will learn things here that she will want back in London with
Her family

Peter and Tink and the boys will never
Be family to me but
Neither were mom and dad
But at least back home there weren't any
Sketchy merchants selling you purple apples for pennies,
Or sharp spindles that could easily draw blood in puddles
Or roses that sent you to a dreamland
Like heaven, if there is one

Or crocodiles that chomp at your toes
And bloodthirsty pirates that have gotten a little to close to completing there blood hunt for Peter and I

I can't play with Peter anymore
Hook got him, Finally
The mermaids all drowned
And Tiger Lily was put on a reserve.

I ran to Tink for a friend
She pulled me into a hug
as she placed a kiss on my cheek
And wrapping her small, delicate hands
Around my throat till I taste blood
And see more than just the second star
To the left and straight on till morning

Why did I venture to Neverland?
