The Immortal Queen's Song

4 2 2

Death creeps upon her as a cat to a bird
In the dark she cries out with a voice still unheard
A bargain: a soul for unending life
Now must she suffer though torment and strife

The spirits, they linger and drive her mad
There is no returning to the life she once had
For now, her sins upon her weigh
As guild and shame haunt her each night and day

To a longing heart, eternity was bribed
And now, see her name, on the halls of hell inscribed
Though still she continues through suffering and hate
Yet her end is written--she's sealed her own fate
