      "Where's the paddles?!"
"The paddles are gonna be useless if her brain matter is already damaged."
"Why didn't you guys page me as soon as the monitor spiked," I said walking in. And as soon I walked into the room my patient flatlined.

"How was your surgeries?" Christina asked sitting across the desk eating a bagel. "Better then usual," I said pushing one of my tacos towards her.
"A bagel for a taco?" She asked her hand above the taco. "Why not?"
"What time are you off? We should hang out if you get off tonight. Scratch that we need to hang out tonight." Christina said pointing her taco at me.
"I'm off tonight," I said looking at my watch. "I'm actually off in a hour. What time you get off? I can pick you up if it's a later time."
"Um I'm off at nine. You sure you can pick me up? We can just meet up somewhere. I don't want you to be too tired," she said looking at me.
"Yes. It's the least I can do after you helping me out all last week." I said looking at her. "Well somebody had to do it," she said smiling.
"Somebody, not you. We barley know each other. We did like one surgery together and I just keep getting rejected by you. Several times. We mostly talked about our case when we was together."
"You kinda suck at flirting. Like really suck at flirting." She smiled finishing her food. "Hey." "What?"
"I'm not bad at flirting. At least I'm not as bad as you making it seem." I said flicking a piece of lettuce at her. "Hey. It's not my fault you suck. You just have no game."
"I do have game." "Just not game with me? What do I make you nervous?" She asked flicking the lettuce back at me. "I mean of course you make me nervous. Look at you."
      Her face turned red instantly.
"Aww now look who's the nervous one."

"You know you don't have to watch them afterwards right? Well when they wake up I mean." I said standing in front of Madison who was right next to our patient room. "I'm not watching them. I'm doing my charts." She replied looking down.
"Why do charts right out here?" Madison gave me a look then sighed. "I'm just concerned is that so bad?" "What's there to be concerned about? You did much better then some surgeons who are two years higher then you. In my opinion there's no one who could've done better."
"You mean it?" "From the bottom of my heart."

"Hey you're finally back." I said to Jack walking in the locker room. "What? Did you miss me that much or something?" He asked still facing his locker. "Hey are you ok?"
"Why wouldn't I be? Give me a good reason why I should be upset?" He asked turning to face me. "Cause of your patient that you lost. You haven't been here for two weeks so I just assumed you needed someone to talk to. I'm sorry for assuming wrong," I said turning to walk out.
"Wait, I actually do need someone to talk to," he said.
      "Don't leave yet please."
"I'm here for you, Jack," I said going back to him.
"I'm sorry for being a ass," he said sitting on the bench.
"I'll let it go this one time."
      "Just this once?"
"No probably hold it against you one or twice."

Kay

      Thank god he's off today.
      I can't see him today.
Not the day of my big surgery.
