"What?" I ask.

I unlock the room door and go inside.

"Why are you still up?" I ask.

"Can't sleep." Olivia says as I sit beside her.

"Think about it this way. When you wake up, you can have coffee." I say.

Midnight into morning coffee,

"Or we could just stay up all night talking." Olivia says.

"My mom died 3 years ago from cancer. My dad is just a low-life-piece-of-shit - only comes around when he wants something. Left as soon as mom died and got married to someone else. Had kids that he actually wants..." I say.

"Convinced mom to change the will before she died. Instead of me and Rouge getting 45% each, we got 5% each. Ran off with the dough and never came to the funeral." I say.
