[Many things in the world are frequently overlooked. Some thought it was magnificent as it was so peaceful. How naïve and fortunate they were. They didn't have to be concerned about wars, monsters hiding in the shadows, or cruelty.

When Stefan Salvatore was human, the world was a wonderful place. He was liberated and delighted. He was a human. Of course, he was aware of the problems it had brought, but he was not one of them, unlike his brother, who had long endured his father's harshness.

Things changed when a girl captured their hearts like a demon taking a soul.

Everything appeared to be going swimmingly, but we all know, this was far from the reality. It was never the case. Things change. Like they always do.

When Stefan Salvatore was human, the world was a wonderful place. Now, he was the monster hiding in the shadows. Always ready to eat you. He was the cause of so many deaths, so much suffering, and so much wickedness around the world. He was the very thing his father refused to accept and the very thing he dreads.

Then, comes a time where he couldn't help but be captivated by a glimpse of his history. He knew he shouldn't, but his thinking followed his heart and did something that put the person he intended to help in peril. He became familiar with her.

But it was then that he met her. A girl so different to the one he was with.

A hunter stood on the other side, the bravest and most feared hunter of all. A hunter with vendetta.

She was frigid and ruthless to people she didn't trust, but altogether different when it came to those she did. She was a monster from hell.

She often listened to the devil's whispers to destroy and harm them in her ears. She didn't believe it was wrong, and she never questioned it. She believed that by doing what she did, she was protecting people who were unable to defend themselves.

Something about her was also that she occasionally, albeit infrequently, listened to her heart.

One of the times was when she fell in love with the kind of thing she resented.

What was even worse was that the person she desired was not the right person for her. She was merely a stumbling block. A difficult task in the way of his and his true love.

She didn't want to break his heart so she kept hers and let him keep his. As a result, he didn't pick her. But some mistakes get made.

He wasn't hers in the first place. She wasn't his to begin with.

Perhaps in the next life. Just not this one.

They are unable to win in the nonsense known as love.]
