"Gooooood- morning!" Rick yelled as he took a seat at the table. " Good morning , dad! I made pancakes." Rick eyed the delicious cakes on the table. "Wow , Beth. Those look amazing . Nothing better than pancakes." Beth smiled at her father. It felt nice to hear those words.
" Rick. Do you plan on taking Morty on a adventure today? Because , he has school." Said Jerry, squinting his eyes at Rick. " Well , Jerry. I guess I can leave Morty out of this one. It'll be a Rick and Ray adventure this time." Rick quickly replied and stuffed some pancakes into his mouth." Really? I can miss today. I'm sure Ray has other things to do." Morty began to get nervous. Ray shook her head. " Nah , my schedule is empty. Plus I haven't been on an adventure with Rick in a long ass time. Might be fun. Yeah, a Rick and Ray adventure." Morty sighed defeatedly. " Must suck , huh. Being replaced by her." Summer taunted in Morty' ear. Morty rolled his eyes and excused himself.

" Hey mom. Hey dad." Morty walked into the dining room and sat at the table. " Hey, Morty. I ordered pizza." Beth motioned toward the boxes of pizza on the table. Morty nodded and looked at the two empty seats. "H-hey mom, is Rick back yet? If he is , I can go get him from the garage." Jerry looked away from his..sock puppet? " No need. Rick and Ray aren't back yet." Beth rolled her eyes at him. "It's nothing to worry about , Morty. I'm sure the adventure is taking a little bit longer this time around. Nothing to worry about." Beth tried to convince Morty , and herself.
"Wooo! We did it." Rick yelled as he exited the portal. " Hell yeah we did!" Morty stood up abruptly. " H—how was the adventure?" Morty asked. " It was amazing! Rick and I are total badasses!" Morty looked at Rick. " I have to agree, M—Morty. Not just anybody can discover a new planet , colonize it , And become rulers. Basically becoming god to them." Morty gulped and sat down. " Hey dad. I'm glad you're okay." Beth smiled warmly. " Beth. My bea- *buurp* beautiful daughter. You look love- - lovely." Rick said as he wiped off the saliva on his chin.
"Dad..!" Beth happily exclaimed. He showed her affection. Weird. " Wha-what the fuck are you doing Jerry?" Rick looked at Jerry, almost disgusted. " I-Im , uh , gluing more Googly eyes onto my sock puppet." Beth groaned and ran a hand down her face, clearly disappointed. " Jerry. I have told you that it's really weird and to stop making puppets." Jerry whined. " Fine. I get it. I'll take my puppets elsewhere . We don't deserve this."
Beth looked at Rick. " Hey don't look at me. You married him." Morty shuffled toward Rick. " So , uh , Rick. Wanna go watch some inter dimensional cable? It's the weekend so I can stay up." Rick nodded and let out a loud burp. " Yeaah, just me and you m-mooorty." Ray smirked. " I see. Welp , goodnight. I'm hitting the hay."

Ray stared at the wood of the desk she sat at. Her room was rather small , with a desk squished into a corner. Sighing , she reached into her drawer and pulled out a small device. It beeped and rang, almost like a phone. She put it to her ear. " Hello?" She nodded as someone spoke to her. " Well, keep me notified. I'll keep adventuring with Rick. If he gets close , beep me." She hung up and tossed the device into the drawer. " He won't find me..right?"

Ray studied the paper in front of her. Her face looked puzzled. " What exactly is this?" Rick smirked. " This is the blue print for a new type of neutrino bomb. This baby could theoretically blow up the entire galaxy. Maybe even the universe." Ray nodded slowly. She wasn't surprised. They fiddled with a concept like this before. "Okay..How? How can I help?" Before he could answer Morty opened the door to the garage.
"Grandpa Rick. Mom told me to tell you that breakfast was ready. You too, Ray" Her name slid off his tongue like venom. Ray squinted at him. Why is he acting like this? " Alright we're coming." Rick waved his hand and walked out of the garage. Not before picking up the glowing rock Ray tossed on the ground minutes prior.
"Rick, I don't like glowing rocks in the kitchen trash!" Jerry expressed his disapproval as Rick tossed the rock. " Well, I don't like your unemployed genes in my grandchildren, but life is made of little concessions." Ray shook her head at Rick's antics. Jerry stuttered, trying his best to find a comeback. " You know what? Your gonna land on your feet, Jer." Both Rick and Ray turned their attention to the unfamiliar man at the table. " Some company out is gonna thank their lucky stars they hired my little brother."
"Who the fuck are you?" "Who the hell is this guy?" Rick and Ray said almost simultaneously, earning a dirty look from Morty. Ray noticed this but said nothing. " My goofy brother , Steve." Jerry chuckled cockily. " He's been living here almost a year now. Are you losing your mind?" Rick looked at everyone , only finding that himself and Ray were the only rational people around here."
" Hey, Someone's been spending to much time around to many glowing rocks. Am I right?" The family laughed alongside him. Ray shot Rick a quick nod. They both pull out a gun and began shooting at Steve. The family erupted into screams. " Oh my god?!" Someone yelled. " Call an ambulance!" Another added. " Oh god , Steve!" Jerry held onto his brother's body. Rick groaned.
" Will everyone just relax for a second?" They all calmed down enough to stop yelling and crying. " There's no such thing as a 'Uncle Steve'." Ray walked over to Jerry, who still held onto the body and placed a hand on his shoulder. " That is a alien parasite." She frowned as the body transformed into its true form, a gross looking alien with blue skin. " Aah!" Jerry tossed the body away from him. " B- - but I've known him my entire life." Jerry cried out. " No you haven't, Jerry." Ray sighed. " These telepathic little bastards, they embed themselves in memories, and th-then use those to multiply and spread out, take over planets." Rick added leaning toward Jerry.
"It's- - it's disgusting." Ray kicked at the corpse. Jerry stared at Rick, clearly deeply hurt and confused. " Steve wasn't real..?" Rick scoffed. " He's a real piece of shit." Rick walked over to Ray , who was studying the body. " This is a big one, Rick." Ray lifted one of its limbs. " Somebody probably tracked it in last week on the bottom of their shoe, or-or on a piece of alien fruit." Rick concluded. " Someone?" Summer questioned. " Get off the high road, Summer. We all got pink eye because you won't stop texting on the toilet." Summer sunk into her seat, beaten.
" But , Uncle Steve taught me how to ride a bike!" Morty recalled. " No , 'Steve' put that memory into your brain so he could live in your house, eat your food, and multiply."
