Rhys was really that "one of a kind" person in Helios. Well, besides Handsome Jack, of course. Rhys was capable of taking care of the most serious technological problems, he could control half of Helios if Jack would let him, with his ECHO implant. It was why Jack made him his PA, entrusting him to keep things running smoothly while he played King of Hyperion, which then led them to screwing around at night, aaaand then to boyfriends.

He sat at his desk in Jack's office, auburn ears pinned with irritation while Jack chewed out someone from Maliwan or Tediore or something over a new deal that had been screwed up. He was typing away, half listening while he worked, hoping Jack would just hang up and shut up so he wouldn't go deaf.

"I don't CARE how much you can offer me for this!" Jack roared and echoed. "You just killed three of my best weapons specialists with these tests! Do you have ANY idea how hard it is to find people like that?!" Rhys just put his face on the desk and groaned. He was used to his boss' shouting and rambling, but today Rhys just had the worst unrelated headache and Jack's shouting was making it worse. When enough was enough, Rhys shut off his computer and walked out. He didn't care if Jack saw him, and frankly he couldn't tell either.

"I have to personally go through thousands of applications! Just to see if there's anyone who even remotely knows how to use a goddamn gun!" Jack continuously shouted, his chair turned and he faced the planet of Elpis below, glowing and giving off a great light that illuminated everything within his office.

Rhys sauntered into Jack's private elevator and headed up to the penthouse, rubbing his face in his hands with a big sigh. While making his way up, Rhys preemptively pulled his ECHO device out to turn off notifications, all he wanted to do was fall onto the couch and pass out with the tv on in the background.

He hoped Jack wouldn't be mad at him for leaving like that, but at the same time he didn't care. Rhys was always very punctual, staying at the top of his game even was Jack told him to take it easy. But Rhys was Jack's PA, he had to schedule everything for his days and couldn't bring himself to laze down. He was a hard worker and he didn't exactly know how to slow down without a ton of convincing from Jack.

Oh well, sue him.

The elevator finally pinged and the doors opened to a hallway leading up to Jack's penthouse, securely guarded by a dozen cameras and some mounted turrets. The actual embodiment of "take no prisoners" and "fuck off." Rhys walked past it all and unlocked one half of the set of golden double doors, letting himself inside and tossed his jacket on the floor.

As he made his way to the couch Rhys slipped off his skag-skin boots with his heels, undid his vest before throwing it to the floor, and freed himself of his weirdly striped slacks leaving himself only in boxers and a shirt while walking past the elegant and fancy home decor Jack had- mostly related to Vaults and otherworldly things- and face planted into the soft cushions. Rhys flicked on the tv and let it sit on a random channel he didn't even care for. His long, slender auburn tail rested across his leg and onto the sofa, his soft pointed ears finally relaxing as Rhys began to doze off.

Right now he hadn't a care in the universe, right now this was the best feeling he's had all day.

An hour had passed since Rhys left Jack's office, it had taken that long for the angry CEO to fix the crashed deal and finally go figure out where Rhys had wandered off to. He wasn't answering any texts or calls, which made him worry. Jack had a hunch, and checked out the security cameras outside the penthouse, and sure enough he saw poor Rhys make his way home. He had one ear slanted out to the side, and he overall didn't look happy.
